Disgusted. How to report...

U.S.A. Florida

Hi. Hopefully someone can help. I am aware and have email documentation to verify that a county paramedic has been having an affair with a married ED doctor while on the clock. They hook up in supply closets and go to her car while on duty. I reported the doctor to the hospital. She is still employed. I reported the paramedic and he is still employed. I can't do anything about the doctor, but I'd like to take my complaint against the paramedic up the chain of command. Yes, the emails are actually between the two individuals discussing their sexual escapades. Disgusting behavior and yet they still have their licenses and jobs. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is NONE of your business. Butt out.

I disagree. You mean to tell me that patient care is NOT affected when the ambulance doesn't return to service because the ED Dr. is giving the paramedic a BJ in the physician parking lot?! And yes, that's what is happening. How would you like to be the RN blamed for a mistake the Dr. makes because she's not focused on her job? Have an affair, get your jollies, I don't care. But do it on the clock? NO! Be professional!

I don't disagree that it is unprofessional. But it seems from your first post that you've reported them both - what do you expect further digging and prying and consternation is going to accomplish? And how exactly are YOU privy to their personal email exchanges?

Let it go- it is NONE of your business. honestly

Man, back when I was a paramedic on the Medic One unit, I did not even get a hearty handshake from the ED staff.

The clock is not always running. Breaktime they can do what they want. It is not professional to be doing that inside the facility or on the grounds, but it's their break. You can't speculate that they are actually on companies time.

I was wondering the same thing about the emails.

OP-Did you hop on the MD's computer while she was at break and go through her personal emails? That is what it sounds like to me.

Ultimately it is none of your business, why even bother mixing yourself up in a messy situation.

OP- you sound bitter, like you have it out for the paramedic and doctor. Its her marriage, What goes around comes around.

OP- you also have no idea what kind of marriage arrangement that doctor has with her husband. Traditional marriage is on its way out in America. Do not cause someone to lose their job.

Why do you care so much? Are you a scorned significant other? If not, just be like Elsa & let it go! It's none of your business & the fact that you have e-mails between those two means you should probably be reported! How did you get them? Hack someone's account or snoop onto it when they didn't log out?

You reported them & that's it. End of story. Get a hobby.

I wanted to add a little story.

I was working at a county jail & let's just say it was common for C.O.'s to hook up with other C.O.'s & of course C.O.'s hooking up with nurses. So there was one evening I was walking from the pharmacy to the "nurses station" because it had the bathroom in it. While I was walking there the charge nurse stopped me to talk. So as I was waiting I look over & out of the bathroom come a nurse & C.O. Surprised, I was not. I was actually more glad that my charge stopped me because if she hadn't I would've walked right into it.

Also I heard chatter of the night shift charge nurse hooking up with a C.O. in an exam room.

Did either of those nurses get fired? No. Did I ever think to run to my boss about it? No. What good would it have done me to go tattle on them? If they want to do that, good for them. As long as they aren't causing the patients any harm, whatever. But once they are harming patients, then it becomes my business.

OP Do you have the Hotts for the Paramedic? If so move on...If he is, willing to sleep with a married woman, he might not be the one for you.

Perhaps the OP is the jilted lover or either the MD or paramedic? This post is insane, it's none of the OP's business. Go adopt a pet if you need a hobby because you clearly have way too much time to be digging around in other people's business. Get a life sweetie.

I think you'd better back off while you still have your own license and job.
