Hi All,
I am still trying to figure out all of the initials after peoples names. Obviously RN is Registered Nurse , but can people enlighten me as to what others are, perhaps after your name, and what it means to have those initials.
Ill start off
EMT-P= Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
Proper convention would actually be your highest degree followed by RN.Though I note you have your EMT-B up there...

I worked hard for my EMT-P, as well as my CEN, CPEN, and TCRN. I list those only when I feel it's necessary, though.
I agree. My EMT-B is up there because it's separate from my nursing credentials. And I noticed that you keep your "stuff" short. As I advance, I will do the same. I'm working on my BSN and when I get it, I will drop the ASN and only list my highest degree. Congrats on your EMT-P. I was once a PM. Hopefully I will be again.
Sadly no matter how many initials u put behind ur name, none of which will ever be MD, so my dear insecure nursing fellows, if you need a title so bad to help fight ur inferiority, u should have put more effort into studying when u were in high school
The medical director of my ED has 4 sets of initials after his name (one of which happens to be MD). It's tough working with someone with such an inferiority complex!
I got an email from someone with "MSOL" in the alphabet soup after her name. I had to google it--turns out it is "Master of Science in Organizational Leadership."
Whistles innocently. I didn't have any fun whatsoever coming up with what that abbreviation could be. Nope, not majorly **** out of luck. Didn't cross my mind at all.
