Hello All,
I have lived on this site for the last 2 months since I graduated May 1st and I must say this is the best website that could have been created. I took my NCLEX-RN at 8am today and I dont know why but the exam was very easy to me. I was scared that my computer shut down at 75 Questions because I made some guesses at some questions. After coming home I realized that probably the guesses were ok because based on how the NCLEX is worded it is different from what we are used to see but it gave options that relates to the familiar words that we use in Nursing sch and what we see in the review questions. For example: you may not see the word "ASPIRATION" but you will see an answer that is suggestive of the word. This will lead you to do "educational guessing". But pass or fail the test was not hard. I got quite a few infection control questions and if it was not for this website I would have had problems answering them, but Allnurses made them so easy. I am sure I got all (about 10) correct. A few priority, no math, about 3 peds, no OB about 3 psych. My questions were all over the place, I did not get too much of anything one thing.
I used Del&Priority Lacharity book it made my priority questions easy, I look in the saunders a few times and glance at other books maybe once or twice, I only did an ATI review that the school gave, I paid for nothing. I know I did less than 1600 questions in total.
Important: Let noone tell you how to concretely study for NCLEX, your way is the best way, some advice is good but dont feel bad if someone is doing something and you are not doing it, each person way of learning is different. I didnt study hard and I find this test very easy. There is no one way to study. The questions are not confusing or tricky....dont worry. I did the pvt and get the good pop-up. I am just waiting to see if it works for me.. I will update you. Just have faith and believe in yourself. The test is not far from what you were taught in nursing school, basic nursing. I am so grateful for this website, it really keeps me going. Sometimes I was mad with myself for always reading through the threads on this site and not studying but I did feel like. My brain was just weary from 16 months of torturing from nursing school....PS Good luck to everyone who is about to test.

Congrats! What made you think it was easy? Were the practice questions you did harder than the real thing? Or was your nursing school harder you think?

Yeah I took mine yesterday all 265, but got the good pop up, and today my name is on the state boards website!!! Eventhough I graduated a year ago, I really didn't think the test was that bad? I think the questions where pretty straight forward. I think I felt worse after some of my nursing finals than the Nclex. If you put your time in studying and doing a lot of questions you should be fine.
Just an update I passed NCLEX-RN. PVT works
