What are the signs and symptoms of a person experiencing ketoacidosis or DKA caused by their diabetes?
I have had type 1 since age 10. I have never been hospitalized with DKA, but I know when my blood sugar is so high that I should go to the hospital (but I don't go.)
I get an unquenchable thirst. And I have to urinate all the time. My breathing is labored. I get so weak that I cannot function. Sometimes I get so nauseated... that about sums it up for me.
I wear a pump and these symptoms usually indicate my cannula is bent, therefore I am not receiving any insulin at all. Time to take an injection and change out my site!
I had to put a urine collection bag on my son once. He ran around the exam room with it on until he peed. It was hilarious.
As a former peds nurse, I am MOST impressed that you got that thing on there well enough to stay on while he ran around and still be secure enough to collect the sample without, um, turning into a soggy mess that cannot be transferred to a cup.
EDIT: I used to consider myself fairly tech-savvy. I am humbled now as I cannot for the life of me master the darn quote button. Sorry it didn't credit the original poster, it was WellThatsOod
My homework was to join a listerv and ask a general basic question and list my responses... geez
These responses are probably what your prof wants, to know what sites will and will not do your homework for you. We are more than willing and able to give advice after you show some work. Good luck.

What's a listerv?
