I've seen threads discussing this topic so I'm hoping to combine all of the discussions and include everyone.
Who else is applying to June GN/RN internships is the Dallas and Fort Worth area? Where have you applied and what feedback have you received? Does anyone who applied to previously posted internships and got accepted or rejected have any advice for us?
Personally I'm a BSN Dec 2010 grad with a new TX RN license and I've applied to any openings I could find in the ED and women & infant services as well as a few random telemetry and critical care spots. I have had 1 phone interview and I have a phone interview and in-person interview scheduled for next week. Im keeping my fingers crossed that something will go well!!!
Good luck to all of us new grads in this tough job market!! :redpinkhe
I only have my ADN also but don't let that discourage you. I know of at least 5 ADN's that have gotten job offers. It will happen for us. I also know of a girl who did not get any GN positions when she graduated in December with an ADN and after she took and passed the NCLEX she had 3 job offers in a week. There is hope for us.
I talked to the recruiter at JPS today and she said that they are going to start scheduling interviews there the weeks of April 7th and April 11th.
Well I'm a December grad so that's why I'm a bit discouraged. Thought passing the NCLEX would help but it hasn't. Most recruiters are no help, they just say apply online, which I'm doing of course. Out of over 200 apps, I've only had the Tele and one other for interviews. I've also had a recruiter say they weren't even looking at Dec grads, only May grads.
I'm afraid JPS is too far for me. I'm way out, east, from everything. Pretty much all the big hospitals are already 45 minutes to an hour away.
Princess_WannaBe - What kind of interviews have you heard about regarding Baylor ED? I know the Dallas in-person interview date isn't for a few more weeks! I don't know what other hospitals have openings. I'm really hoping to hear from them! I spoke to the Baylor OB recruiter today and she said they will be contacting people to schedule in-person interviews in April:)

Well, I have several things working against me. I don't work for Baylor, have no hospital experience and only have my ADN. I heard last round they took 6 people and only 1 had an ADN. This round they said they are taking 4 people. I haven't heard anything good or bad, so maybe it's not a bad sign yet.
