DFW GN/RN June 2011 Internships

I've seen threads discussing this topic so I'm hoping to combine all of the discussions and include everyone.

Who else is applying to June GN/RN internships is the Dallas and Fort Worth area? Where have you applied and what feedback have you received? Does anyone who applied to previously posted internships and got accepted or rejected have any advice for us?

Personally I'm a BSN Dec 2010 grad with a new TX RN license and I've applied to any openings I could find in the ED and women & infant services as well as a few random telemetry and critical care spots. I have had 1 phone interview and I have a phone interview and in-person interview scheduled for next week. Im keeping my fingers crossed that something will go well!!!

TxPedsRN- did you get an interview? I talked to the recruiter a few weeks ago and she was still going over the apps that applied first, which were about 200.

TexAg09 - congrats on the interview! 10 openings is a good amount!!

These positions we are applying to don't start until June/July/August so there is still a lot of time left to hear from recruiters! Lets stay positive and keep motivated!

TXPeds is correct--only 10 positions at Parkland ER.

Thanks meggo--It actually surprised me. I scared my roommate because I jumped up really quick when I got the e-mail.

I have an ER interview at parkland too.....I know how many they are taking but, I wonder how many are being interviewed?

I got a rejection letter for L&D from Baylor today. Some of my classmates got rejection letters from NICU and Med Surg today as well. I did not get those rejections though. Sad to get the #1 on my list at Baylor already crossed off. Oh well.

Only person who I know who got an interview was for Med-Tele in Grapevine and she got the position. None of the students who got rejection e-mails had interviews.

txmommyof3, curious to know when that person was offered the position. Was it for Telemetry-Baylor Grapevine? I interviewed for that position as well and haven't heard anything.

She got offered the position on Monday. It was for the Tele Grapevine position. She works at Baylor with me though so not sure if maybe that is why she heard early
