  1. At my facility you usually have to work a year there before you can go prn. I do not want to bring up switching to prn until I am ready to give my notice. My plan is to turn in this notice if my manager does not let me have a prn position. If I do get a prn spot I will keep the letter to myself. Others have tried to switch to prn and were told they could not so they quit. ok so changed it again is this any shorter and sweeter? I regret to inform you I am officially resigning from my full time Registered Nurse position on the Medical Surgical Unit at XXX. I have benefited greatly from my experiences at XXX. I am extremely appreciative for the opportunities to learn and contribute to this outstanding Health Care organization. This letter is my official fifteen day notice, effective immediately. My final date of full time employment will be date. I genuinely enjoy working on this unit and would be available to continue employment on a PRN basis at this time.
  2. ok i revised the guts does it sound better? thank you for the past seven months of full time employment. i have benefited greatly from my experiences with xxx. i am extremely appreciative for the opportunities to learn and contribute to this outstanding health care organization. i regret to inform you i must resign from my full time registered nurse position on the medical surgical unit at xxx. this letter is my official fifteen day notice, effective immediately. my final date of full time employment will be date. i genuinely enjoy working on this unit and would be available to continue employment on a prn basis. i wish to continue our professional relationship. however if that is not possible, i hope that consideration would extend to me in future employment opportunities with xxx.
  3. I have found a better paying RN position at the hospital I have wanted to work at since nursing school I graduated over a year ago and have finally got my foot in the door. I enjoy my current job and would like to stay prn if possible but can't turn down a $5 base rate pay raise with higher shift diffs. So let me have it tell me what to fix with this letter. Thanks in advance. XXX, RN Street City date XXX, RN, BSN Director of Medical Surgical Unit XXX street city Dear XXX, Thank you for the past seven months of full time employment. I have benefited greatly from my experiences with XXX. I am extremely appreciative for the opportunities to learn and contribute to this outstanding Health Care organization. At this time, I regret to inform you I must resign from my full time registered nurse position on the Medical Surgical Unit at XXX. I genuinely enjoy working on this unit and would be delighted to continue employment on a PRN basis. This letter is my official fifteen day notice, effective immediately. My final date of full time employment will be date. Again, I appreciate the opportunity to work at this facility and would like to continue on a PRN basis if possible. I would hope that, if in the future, should the opportunity again arise for XXX and me to engage in a mutually benefiting relationship, that consideration would extend to me. Thank you, XXX, RN
  4. I have an ER interview at parkland too.....I know how many they are taking but, I wonder how many are being interviewed?
  5. I think it depends on the facility you should ask HR. My hospital pays shift diffs for weekend and nights I dont get both but weekend nights is higher than weekday nights. During the week I get $3.00/hr extra for 3-11 and $4.00 for 11-7. Then weekend shift diff is $3.00 7-3, $6.00 3-11 and $7.00 11-7.
  6. I am working on a med/surg unit in a small hospital no luck with parkland. Where are you working?
  7. gobananas did you get the l&d residency?
  8. I graduated in May but was pregnant I just started looking in nov. I have had four interviews and two offers just accepted one in a rural area from the dallas metroplex. The internships are around here are VERY competitive.
  9. Sometimes on indeed the same position is posted numerous times.
  10. So did anyone get offered a position?
  11. So did anyone else on here that interviewed for L&D get an offer?
  12. Well I called and was told I was not selected
  13. I guess you posted right before me. So sorry you did not get a position. You sound very well qualified, I know I surely will not get a spot now I just wish I would get a call telling me something. I was not sure on the actual #s of interviews and applicants. Do you know how many they are taking? Good luck finding your first nursing job!!
  14. NO!! I called my recruiter today and she was out of the office so I called the main line and I was told they are still conducting interviews for L&D this week. I so don't understand, I was told final choices would be made no later than tomorrow but now apparently not!?!? Surely 200 interviews was enough to choose 5-8 well qualified candidates. I was/am really hoping to get a residency but now I really doubt that is going to happen. Good luck to you all hopefully we find out soon!
