I would like to ask the opinion of anyone
Im from the Philippines, got interviewed at the Mla embassy last Oct. 16, 06 got hold of my visa on Oct. 20, 06. My agency told me to leave ASAP since due to the retrogression even if I was issued a visa, I could be denied entry to the USA if all the 50T allocated visa for schedule A will be used up. Is there any truth to this matter?
Thanks!

You already got a visa, don't be fooled by your agency. Just remember, your visa is good only for six months, so leave for the US with in this time frame.
Congratulations and good luck!

Your agency is telling you false information. You have your visa you will not be affected by the retrogression. as previously said you have 6 months to activate the visa if you don't do it in that timeframe you have to restart

The only thing that I can add in is to be very careful, if the agency is giving you wrong information about this, what else have they told you?
Suzanne, thanks again.
I appreciate all the inputs.

So, lets say you came and no problems. What will you do? After Nov 1, i think you cannot file I-485. And if the new quota did not pass, after 6 month, will you have to come back?
Are you going to have work authorization meanwhile?
Just wondering and if you know your plans, would you share...

With due respect, I think the she got an Immigrant Visa via consular processing and not a tourist visa.
They already have their immigratn visa, and just had their consular interview. They are in the final weeks before beginning work in the US. They are not going the AOS route that you plan to do.

Congrats on the VISA. Welcome to America and I hope you have great experiences while here.
It's a wonderful place, but BIG. Try to get out and see some of it, if you can.

Cool,
thank you Suzanne. Then retrogression is nothing for them.
