Just 25 congressional Republicans acknowledge Biden’s win, Washington Post survey finds

Quote

A team of 25 Post reporters contacted aides for every Republican by email and phone asking three basic questions — who won the presidential contest, do you support or oppose Trump’s continuing efforts to claim victory and if Biden wins a majority in the electoral college, will you accept him as the legitimately elected president — and also researched public statements made by the GOP lawmakers in recent weeks to determine their stance on Biden’s win.
[See the full data: How every Republican lawmaker responded to The Post’s questions]
The results demonstrate the fear that most Republicans have of the outgoing president and his grip on the party, despite his new status as just the third incumbent to lose reelection in the last 80 years. More than 70 percent of Republican lawmakers did not acknowledge The Post’s questions as of Friday evening.

Modern American republicans function in a cult of fear.  They no longer govern for we the people.

Your link brings me back to this page.  Is this the article you referred to: Just 27 congressional Republicans acknowledge Biden’s win, Washington Post survey finds?

As usual, I appreciate the heads up.  This seems to be a recurring glitch now for my phone app access to this site.

Yes...the WaPo survey.

President Trump on Saturday demanded to know who the congressional Republicans were who acknowledged President-elect Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential election.

The president was referring to a survey from The Washington Post that found that only 25 Congressional Republicans acknowledged Biden's victory.

"25, wow! I am surprised there are so many. We have just begun to fight. Please send me a list of the 25 RINOS. I read the Fake News Washington Post as little as possible!" Trump tweeted on Saturday, referring to "Republicans in name only."

SCOTUS Dismisses GOP Request

Quote

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused a request from Pennsylvania Republicans to overturn the state’s election results. The justices said they would not block a ruling from Pennsylvania’s highest court that had rejected a challenge to the use of mail ballots in the state. The Supreme Court’s order was all of one sentence, and there were no noted dissents.

At the same time, Texas is engaged in their own extraconstitutional legal shenanigans. They are playing with fire.

Trump has enablers in congress.  The same Democratic process that has stood the test of time in the longest continual democracy in the world, the one that got them elected, they are tearing down.  It's sad to watch.

You are correct.  The Senators and Congress people who go along with the denial are cowards! They are afraid of the LOSERS who are vile, hateful, and racist Trump supporters!

Racist Trump supporters have the nerve to threaten lawmakers and law enforcers (this includes those Republicans who are doing their jobs and certifying this election despite Trump's threats).  They are sick and pathetic.  The same Trump supporters think that they can threaten burning crosses on lawns of African American representatives and call them the "n" word in the hopes that they will get Trump re-elected and silence the will of 80 million plus Americans in this country.  They are mistaken!  Unlike the days of Reconstruction the KKK and other White Supremacist groups (100% of who are Trump supporters), will not get their way through threats of violence/intimidation!   Not this time!  And never again!

OP and others the denial strategy is not working in court:

However, outside of court the con of denial is bilking Trump supporters of hundreds of millions of dollars, which is Trump's main purpose of denying he lost this election:

@SummerGarden

There's an interesting opinion by Greg Sargent today about GOP support for Trump.  In part he wrote;

Quote

Indeed, as Laura Field demonstrates, if Trump can keep exerting influence over the GOP, one can envision him — and the Republicans carrying his mantle — seeking to maintain among supporters a kind of permanent state of warfare against the legitimacy of our institutions and of the opposition. It will be rooted in retributive rage against our system and its voters for rendering its verdict against Trump.
Philosopher John Dewey wrote that democracy is sustained by “faith” in the fundamental worth of other human beings, faith that is demonstrated in all sorts of routine ways. This faith is rooted in a “generous belief” in the “possibilities” of others, in their “capacity” for “intelligent judgment and action.”
What we’re seeing now in this ongoing support for election subversion is at bottom a form of very profound contempt for those possibilities — a very profound contempt for other human beings; for fellow Americans.

STOP Trying to overturn the votes of my state!  We watched online the election staff in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia processing the ballots aboveboard.  PA's election law change to allow 'no reason necessary' mail-in ballot enacted into law in 2019;  Supreme court approved extended mail delivery arrival 4 days post election day to be counted as approved by PA state legislature.

This COUP had to end.

Trump and 17 states join Texas effort to convince Supreme Court to void the vote in Pennsylvania

Quote

..In separate briefs, Trump and the states, led by Attorney General Eric S. Schmitt of Missouri, suggested that results from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan cannot be trusted and accused judges and elected officials there of capitalizing on the coronavirus pandemic to introduce what they described as “drastic and fraud-inducing” changes to election law.

With their filings, Trump and GOP officials in more than a third of states in the union have now endorsed an unprecedented and audacious effort to disenfranchise voters in states that supported his opponent.
