A team of 25 Post reporters contacted aides for every Republican by email and phone asking three basic questions — who won the presidential contest, do you support or oppose Trump’s continuing efforts to claim victory and if Biden wins a majority in the electoral college, will you accept him as the legitimately elected president — and also researched public statements made by the GOP lawmakers in recent weeks to determine their stance on Biden’s win.

The results demonstrate the fear that most Republicans have of the outgoing president and his grip on the party, despite his new status as just the third incumbent to lose reelection in the last 80 years. More than 70 percent of Republican lawmakers did not acknowledge The Post’s questions as of Friday evening.

I've mentioned before that this is practically treason and I'm getting beyond angry. This has to stop.

True, Trump is a despot! Trump tweeted that the election needs to be "OVERTURNED" and is referring to this lawsuit as his next big hope to make that happen. The only thing preventing him from getting away with his coup is our US Constitution, those of us who believe in it, and our institutions that are standing firm. No thanks to the sycophants Republicans/Trump supporters in most of these states who need to be removed from office. In fact, the AGs who have signed on to this law suit need to be disbarred!

So, can this stupid lawsuit be thrown out now (not heard) by the US Supreme Court on the grounds that not only did similar cases lose in state federal courts and there is no evidence presented in the filings, the clowns that filed the motion and bill of complaint misspelled Louisiana twice?:
Basically, these so-called lawyers (many of whom are state AGs) either don't have spellcheck or they did not complete the 5th grade. Similarly, the congressmen and congresswomen that signed the complaint are either illiterate or they did not bother to read the document. Neither would surprise me. The lawyers and the congressmen and congresswomen who signed the document all swore to uphold the US Constitution and this lawsuit seeks the opposite outcome of their oath of office.

This case is over! Texas has no right to file this suit against another state because they do not have "standing" to bring the case per our US Constitution. Texas, supported by President Trump, tried to sue Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan, claiming fraud, without evidence. But in order for a state to bring a case in court, especially the Supreme Court, a state must show it has been injured. In essence, the court said Texas could not show that it was injured by the way other states conducted their elections.
"Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections," the court wrote.
Justice Samuel Alito, joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, wrote that in their view the court does "not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction."...
