I think we need to start thinking differently and as the video says, ask more questions and seek truth! We talk a lot about health care, but what we do is illness care. Health Care would involve preventing illness. This means taking measures to avoid becoming ill and taking part in promoting wellness. Unfortunately “medicine” and big pharma only make money when people are ill. I am happy to have provided care for many people, to give them the ability to live another day, love their families and friends longer. But really I want to share the secrets of health and wellness, promote proper diet and exercise, encourage use of good supplements so that illness can be avoided! Wouldn’t that be the best use of health care dollars? There would still be many patients who are unfortunate victims of bad genetics or who simply continue to make unwise choices!

BUT you left out the other half the story: what percentage of those hospitalized with Covid are vaccinated. According to what I’ve read it’s 5% or less. Interesting that someone advocating for healthier lifestyles is so unaware of the principles of risk reduction. IOW, those of us who are vaccinated may still be at risk of infection, but our chances of illness severe enough to require hospitalization are vastly reduced. Our chances of transmitting the virus to others can also be vastly reduced by the usual: handwashing, masking and social distancing.

Does this represent some covid dissonance for you, because your comment leads me to believe that you think you can protect yourself from covid with healthy living?

I think we need to start thinking differently and as the video says, ask more questions and seek truth! As soon as this "doctor" stated that the virus is too small to be contained by masks I knew he was a charlatan. He conveniently forgets that masks stop droplet transmission which are much larger than an individual virus. Unless of course he thinks that the virus can 'worm' its way through masks. That video was a litany of half truths, lies and completely misrepresented facts. Why is it that only in the USA is this a problem? The rest of the world seems to understand the science.

The other thing about that event is that the vast majority of people who attended the event were vaccinated, so naturally more of the infections would be coming from vaccinated people. That 74% is an outlier when compared to every day life, I.e. not a large gathering of people. In "real life" the majority of infections are occurring in the unvaccinated and the VAST MAJORITY of serious illness and deaths are happening to unvaccinated people. So I disagree with the other poster that the Massachusetts event mandates any great change in the way we look at and deal with Covid.

Well, we have an alarming number of people in the USA who decided a couple decades ago that they needed to narrow their media consumption based upon politics. They were encouraged in that decision making by the propagandists in the marketing arena that they preferred and then, ultimately, the politicians got actively involved in that "fake news" nonsense. It's a real problem that so many people are adversely affected by propaganda and lies in the age of information.

Viruses don't really care what diet, supplements or exercise you have. You will STILL get any viral disease. What all this other stuff does is make it easier for you to recover....unless you have long Covid as many previously healthy (runners, etc) are left with. Right now our money should be spent on vaccine, keeping people out of the hospital and getting our economy back in order. We can't do any of those things until we have the virus under control. It will be cheaper, faster, and accomplished with less pushback if we focus on those who have been neither vaccinated nor infected. Both the CDC https://www.CDC.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/science-briefs/fully-vaccinated-people.html#ref30 and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/sites/default/files/documents/Partial COVID vaccination and heterologous vacc schedule - 22 July 2021.pdf (reference #18) Have both cited (and therefore, vouched for) the Israel Ministry of Health Study at: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.04.20.21255670v1 which said: "Vaccination was highly effective with overall estimated efficacy for documented infection of 92·8% (CI:[92·6, 93·0]); hospitalization 94·2% (CI:[93·6, 94·7]); severe illness 94·4% (CI:[93·6, 95·0]); and death 93·7% (CI:[92·5, 94·7]). prior SARS-CoV-2 infection for documented infection is 94·8% (CI:[94·4, 95·1]); hospitalization 94·1% (CI:[91·9, 95·7]); and severe illness 96·4% (CI:[92·5, 98·3]). Our results question the need to vaccinate previously-infected individuals." Not all unvaccinated people are deniers, nor do they pose a proven public safety threat greater than vaccinated people. The current distraction of demanding vaccination of those who are not a public threat is not based on scientific data. Previously infected people have demonstrated a very modest improvement from vaccination only if they were hospitalized by COVID the first time, but that is the only exception. https://www.jabfm.org/content/risk-new-hospitalization-post-covid-19-infection-non-covid-19-conditions-0 "After adjustment for potential confounding variables, there was no significantly increased risk in future hospitalization for any condition for patients who were COVID-19 positive versus those who were COVID-19 negative (HR 1.31; 95% CI 0.98, 1.74). In adjusted analyses, individuals with severe COVID-19 had an increased risk of hospitalization for potential complications compared to both mild/moderate COVID-19 (HR 2.20; 95% CI 1.13, 4.28) and COVID-19 negative patients (HR 2.24; 95% CI: 1.52, 3.30). Discussion: Patients with a severe COVID-19 episode were at greater risk for future hospitalizations. This study reinforces the importance of preventing infection in patients at higher risk for severe COVID-19 cases." This isn't medical opinion or speculation, these are CDC cited facts and our outreach is currently pointlessly diluted.

All effort should be focused upon vaccinating the unvaccinated while protecting those who cannot vaccinate.
