Anybody thinking about El Centro/ Northlake in the DCCCD for Jan 2006?
I am also thinking of going to TWU! :) Yeah I am not trying to think like that. I wish the letter would just hurry up and get here! lol Anyways I was also thinking of UTA but they require CHEM 1411 and I am taking CHEM 1405.
I had to take courses outside of TWU because community colleges are so much more cheaper. I sure hope I am accepted into a BSN program on down the line.
I'm starting to feel really negative. All along I've been thinking that I had a really good chance, but now I'm not so sure. Maybe I'm just trying to not get too upset if I'm not accepted. Either way, I know it will happen at some point. I sure won't give up.
**1 DAY**
I wish all of you the best of luck, but remember do not give up either way. Eventually we will all start, we will all finish, we will all pass the NCLEX, and we will all become RNs!
Those who go in front can show the later ones the way. The later ones can keep the ones who go first motivated.
Good luck to all.
Thanks sunnyjohn, but now I'm scared to open my letter when I do get it. :chuckle
Don't y'all know if the ECC nursing office personnel are reading this, they have to be laughing at our craziness...the non-nursing students b/c they don't know how we are feeling, and the nursing staff because they've been there, done that. lol
I'm not in Texas, but I think I have discovered a trick. I know at my current schoolof MTSU they classify students as pre-nursing majors and as soon as they are accepted they are classified as Nursing majors. Now, I applied at four 4 -year schools and they have me as a pre-nursing student. But at Univ. of Memphis where I am accepted, I changed to a Nursing major without the ''pre'' in front of it. Also, I am hoping to get into the school that is closer, Austin Peay, and it says Nursing for the major too. I can't remember if it actually ever said ''pre '' there though, so I called admissions(not nursing, just regular) and asked if the designation changed and she says she doesn't think so really fast, and I'm thinking she just doesn't want to give me a clue. She didn't say no, right? Anyway, I'm talking about the student information portal that schools use nowadays to let you register online and get email, see you unofficial transcript etc. They call it pipeline at my school and AP Web at another, Tiger Web etc. So, if your school has anything like that and you want to see if you are in early, if you can remember whether or not you were classified as a pre- nursing student , maybe you could try and look at that. Just a thought.
Tempting....lol Actually, we are classisfied as associates in science until we are actually in the program.
I know if accepted, we will still have to do our registrations, payments, etc., so I'm not sure if that's when it will change or earlier.
hmmm, now, do I want to go look, or not? lol

See? It may be worth it. An associate of science is different from a nursing major. Go ahead girl and see if it has changed. It can't hurt. Like you said it may not change until after you register, but try it out anyway. Man, I can't wait until tommorow. Maybe I'll sleep til 12:00 pm. :roll :roll

I peeked, it didn't change. LOL I'm sure that doesn't matter. I sure wouldn't want to go change them all, then have to change the ones back that didn't accept the seat.
ok, it's almost 12 PM. The ECC nursing office is about to close, hopefully with letters in hand ready to mail. If the mailman hasn't already picked them up from there.

Jenn, you are my study buddy and you cannot talk like that!!!!!!
I already have all of my courses toward my BSN so I will probably just apply for that if I don't get in. I am planning on going to TWU for that. Where are you thinking of going??
