Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Anybody thinking about El Centro/ Northlake in the DCCCD for Jan 2006?

Yes, I am really hoping we will get them Saturday. A friend of mine that works at the main post office said that if they are delivered Friday night to the main office off of I-30 then we will more than likely get them on Saturday. I am really really hoping for that!!! I don't live too far from the main post office and I told her I would be more than willing to pick up my letter as soon as the school dropped it off to save them time and hassle ;)

This week is the SLOWEST week ever. :uhoh3:

Heck,

I'll go down to the post office and help the mailpeople SORT the mail if it will help me get my letter quicker!

Can't you see me diving in the big containers of mail???:rotfl:

I wish El Centro posted the cut off GPA on their website.

I am sure they already know it.

((((((((((((((((((((( good vibes to everyone )))))))))))))))))))))))))))

let's all take this time to be thankful for the intelligence we all have to have even made it to the application process which, as fun2care mentioned earlier, is a great achievement in itself. :thankya:

i wish everyone the best of luck.

For some reason they thrive on watching us nervously wait! I don't think they would do anything to alleviate that!

I thought about calling & asking the cut-off GPA, but decided against it. ....That would take away all of the anticipation! lol (even if they would give it out already)

Not long at all now!!!

A guy in my A&P II class attended the most recent nursing info session at El Centro (on Monday, I think). They were told the highest GPA for the Spring 06 applicants was 3.77!!! :D They were also told that out of 500+ taking the NET, only about 238 were eligible to apply!

I have been so excited since he told me this, but I was hesitant to share just in case he was given the wrong info. I can't keep it to myself any longer. I just hope it's true. I had prepared myself for bad news, thinking a 3.77 with 6 hours of support classes would not be good enough. Now I am quite hopeful.

Good luck everyone!!

Do you mean that the cut off GPA was 3.77?

I know guys from my psychology class who applied with 4.0.

Katie

I have heard from quite a few people who applied that they had 4.0. I wonder if they took everyone who had a 3.77 GPA. I wish Monday/Tuesday would hurry up and get here.

Hmmm. I was afraid his info was unreliable. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, I am one of those with the 4.0 prereqs and all supports. I just hope they weren't getting everyone's hopes up. Maybe it was a cut-off of a 3.77

Wow, faceinbooks82, you'll definitely get in!! :)

I'm sure the cut-off GPA is 3.77, as it has been that way for the past two semesters.

Now, most of us just need to worry about the # of support courses.

I didn't realize so many people wouldn't pass the NET. That is sad.

WHY, OH WHY, DID THAT GUY NOT ASK ABOUT THE NUMBER OF SUPPORT CLASSES????? :p

My total DCCCD GPA is 3.8, but the my GPA in my pre-req's and support classes is a 4.0.

I am gonna go exercise and do some deep breathing to stay calm

2 DAYS!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
