What is your current 2015 pay as an LPN/LVN?
That pay rate is pitiful. $20/hr and under is just despicable! I can't believe they can justify to set the pay so low for what we do. Where I live bus drivers make more money than that (and more money than me, actually) and it's criminally actionable to assault a bus driver. A patient hits a nurse and no one bats an eyelash. I'm sorry I'm not sorry, that pay-rate is NOT ok.
I make $28/hr as a nurse... But there is a catch! My employer (a large acute care hospital) only hires newer nurses/new grads as "casual/per diem" with no health or insurance benefits/ no benefits of any kind, and no guarantee of if/when you will get work. Nice, eh?! Most places nowadays do not hire permanent full-time with benefits. If you can find a full-time nursing position where I live, it's usually contract without benefits and is in the most undesirable/intolerable clinical settings.
I wish I knew nursing/ life was going to be like this...
North Iowa. Work LTC.Base pay is $16.
Shift differential for 2nd shift is 20 cents an hour
Sundays, add a dollar an hour

Work holidays and it is also double
