Daytona State College RN Program Fall 2016??
I'm applying for the transitional LPN to RN so it'll be a little different, but I know for me they said: "If you are accepted into our program, your first semester will be as listed below.Lecture is online, Tuesday is Lab; either 1:00-4:00 pm. or 4:30-7:30 pm. and Wednesday is Clinical;1:00-10:30 pm. After your first semester, you will be intergraded with the RN students and will be as listed below. Classes are considered Full-time and is in lecture form which consists of four days a week, including lecture, lab and clinical. This program will be held on 3 of the 5 campuses each semester and the will rotate. (Daytona, Deltona, New Smyrna OR Daytona, Deland, Flagler/Palm Coast). DAYS: anytime between 7:00 am. till 5:00 pm. EVENINGS: anytime between 2:00 pm. till 11:00 pm." I'm pretty sure if you just e-mail someone in the nursing department they'll give you all the scheduling information you need. As for TEAS, I would study. I bought a book and did questions and found questions online. There's a science section and I did well on anatomy, but they put chemistry and stuff and that wasn't fresh in my mind. Practice math and grammar.

Daytona State College RN Program Fall 2016??
Hey! I'm applying for transition program. I think my GPA is 3.3ish. I'm hoping it'll be enough to get into the program, but I heard that a lot of times there aren't enough applicants for the transitional program. Good luck!

WGU- Prelicensure 2016- Daytona, Florida
Hey, I'm looking into WGU prelicensure program at Daytona Beach, Florida. I'm a working LPN and I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this program as a LPN and if that helps? I also called today to talk to someone and they were saying that the next cohort starts here October 1st, 2016 and only 10 people will get chosen. Is anyone else on here looking into this program? I'm just trying to see what other experiences have been like so far with the program and with the process of getting into the program. If they give clinical date information within a reasonable time frame and all that. Also they say we have to have all prerequisites done before applying and they do not offer them. I have all my sciences, but I think I'm missing a humanities. I've noticed people who have completed english comp through the school so did they mean the sciences aren't offered? Thanks!

Is becoming a LPN worth it?
I graduated in February from Pinellas Technical College and took my test a few months ago. It's accredited and everything. I didn't start looking for a job until recently, but I got a call back after a couple weeks of filling out a few applications a day. I don't actually start my first LPN job until tomorrow, but I think everyone is a little scared at first and you just learn. I think getting your LPN is a good place to start and you make enough money to support yourself and experience.

Is becoming a LPN worth it?
Becoming an LPN was worth it to me. I live in Florida and my program was 15 months long, with the classwork portion online and face to face clinicals. I also took a few online classes at my community college so I could get my prereqs done done quicker to get into a LPN to RN transition program. I just got hired for $19/hour so I can support myself and I'm getting experience. If you don't want to be a nurse though than you probably shouldn't do it.
