Nursing is a passion?
I love being a nurse. I worked so hard to get my Lpn and I'm working on my RN. It is who I am and I'm so passionate about it.

Question about cna
Thank you for much. I always say thank you every shift. I think because I'm a new nurse and new to LTC that could be the problem. But I thank them for helping me and I bought them pizza. I bring in cookies. I know there job is difficult. I help out all the time. But when they unplug my Pt alarms and they fall that's not spiting me. That's harmful to the residents.

"JUST" an Lpn
I know what I am. A proud Lpn and yes I'm nurse and I don't care if it's not recognize. I like don't have time or energy to explain it. Nurses are all under appreciated on some level. Don't take it personally. Be more secure

Question about cna
I my a new LPN working in long-term care. My aides are not respectful to me. They give me an attitude problem all the time they only help the nurses that they like in that have been there for years. I'm sure this is normal in every way through it but is anyone have any advice on how to handle it I tried being nice and helping and it didn't work. They actually hate me more now. I started out as a medical assistant 15 years I have expirenced being Unlicensed medical professional. Why are they like this ? Help

ethical dilema
I completely understand what your saying. And obviously you figured out a ready that nurses don't play nice with others We got a pretty good example of that from the replies. Be the kind of nurse you want to work with that's what I have told from true compassion caring nurses. Inbox me if you need to talk good luck

Help question about LTC
I had a new admission on Thanksgiving The patient was a little aggressive and upset because he's hard of hearing and having anxiety about being in a new facility The doctor ordered an Ativan PRN Q8 hours for anxiety I wrote up and fax the order to the pharmacy I also filled out the behavior sheets I got reprimanded by my supervisor for not calling the family about the meds. He is alert oriented and able to make his needs known He does not have a healthcare proxy or durable power of attorney I was told I must always call the emergency contact in the chart and let them know about things like this The family rather for him to be on Ambien instead of Ativan The patient wants Ativan it is really normal procedure in Pennsylvania I have a New Jersey nursing license and recently transferred it to Pennsylvania so I'm confused They also requested that he wears a diaper and he is fully continent it and does not need one

Dermatology nursing
I worked in dermatology as a medical assistant and I loved it. It involved hair nails and skin. A lot of biopsies and patient teaching about skin care.. I also assisted with cosmetic procedures.
