Hello, I just thought to start a thread, for support and information for the future nursing students from Connecticut area. As we all know, it's hard to get in to the program. so let's try to work together with new advisements, precautions, suggestions and support. Does anyone is ready to apply this coming spring? has anyone has taken the TEAS test? :nuke:
ok now you sound like my family. I know I am trying to be positive. I just wish I knew how many students they planned to accept. You know I saw on the news that CT has the second largest nursing shortage in the US. I don't understand why schools are not accepting more students.
Yeah and I also saw that nursing teachers don't get paid enough to teach nursing so that also adds to the limited amount of students that can be accepted each year. So, at this point we have to wait and pray!! These schools need to start paying these people to teach their students!!
yeah, i am applying everywhere too. the application fees are getting up there!!!!! i dont think i will get in to BHSN, i have the app ready to go, but i am hesitant to send it in (deadline's tomorrow) because my transcript shows my foolishness of freshman year and i have an incomplete on there for wintersession (kidney stones). i don't believe my GPA is worthy of their school, but i don't know what the basline is either. it's only $50, and i would be absolutely ecstatic to get in there, but buying books just kicked my ass this semester. are there a ton of applications to this school, like i think there are? i think i might have better chances next year.
From what I have heard there are a lot of candidates, but you may be in that number just apply. I agree my first two years of college were not great, I was going through some things and my grades were effected. But, now I am finishing up my masters' in public health, so I have become very focused.
hey everyone!!
i was trying to hide my insecurities from you guys...but i realized that we all are in the same boat. however we need to be positive and patient.

Yes, 600 is a serious number of applications but we have to keep the faith that we are in the number that are chosen. This process is very stressful!!!
