Precepting New Grad in CVICU
I am new grad.. I like my preceptor. However I wish she challenge me further versus letting me do what I think it's right. No you are doing the right approach.. I would talk to her and ask if anything is bothering her. Sometime personality clash and will not help neither of you. Specially her and the safety of the patients.

Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2010
Thank you Matt, I have been going to school for the longest time. I cannot wait to be in the program. I have the opportunity of being in different states because my husband was constanly moving with the coast guard, and I had the chance to experienced the system of different states, few of then will interview you before they accept you into the program. it's a shame, and frustating to know that people that does not have the calling for nursing but are extremely smart(second degree) get in into the program without having bedside manners. I love nursing cannot and will not give up my dream. with the economy so bad now everyone wants to make money out nursing career without even knowing what nursing is all about. thank you for reading my negative comment

Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2010
I am so sorry to hear that . I went through this myself. last year it was my computer class. I waited a year long to re-apply. this year I got a letter from gateway stating that I was not qualified because my english com was not included....i fought with my nails and I got it clear...there was a missing transcripst from my file. I must say that the nursing people from gateway were fabulous and they help me out. You maybe available to go back to that school website where you got your english 101 and get it from your logging. fight...do not give up...i wish you good luck. i know you must be upset.

Goodwin College Nursing Seminar Notes
hello, i was there too. it's amazing how expensive this school is. each credit is $430.00. so the total of one class is ex: english 101 is 3 credits the total will be $1290.00 for one class not including books. that worst thing that i learned was the, you have to have a least 4 classes not credits but classes with them so you could be consider to be a potential nurse student. i myself finish all my pre-req. but i went to the seminar to see what they offer just in case i don't hear anything from other places that i have applied already. i spoke with one of the girl from the seminar and she told me, that i will have to take 4 classes in order to be considering their students. her words were as follow: " is a catch 22..you need to take those 4 classes for us to consider you" are you kidding me....that sad thing is that even if you take those classes there no community college in us or university will recognize those. i don't know how legal is that....but i’m sure that i am not paying for their new building...and fancy classrooms...stick with the cc from ct ...those are there because we pay taxes.

Please tell me I am wrong, but I was told the St. Vincent will not grant any liberal or science credit unless taken in their facility? I did not even bother to look up their program because that reason. ...as you know every school you want to get in is very monetary monopoly.please let me know your response.

CT Colleges Ready to apply for 2009!!
Hello TrepinCT, I just wanted to let you know, that I was at Yale Nursing school building at New haven town, with my husband for different type of business, but I went to the nursing admission office just to check out for curiosity and I got to meet a really nice lady, that had told me about their program. the acceptance is standard steps as any other regular nursing school. they take applications until feb 2009. and their program is for people whom have already complete their bachelors in any other field (preferably science) she told me that the program is about three years for Master in Nursing. hoped this can help!!!
