CSUS Sacramento State Spring 2019

Published

Not sure if it has been made already, but I decided to make a forum for Spring 2019 applicants for Sacramento State!

Aaand I'm back. I spoke with someone on the phone at the program. They should have the preliminary email to us by the end of the day today, or (at the latest) end of day Monday. Yay!

We're still on track for final decisions coming this month. They're trying to get everything done and out before Thanksgiving, but it's likely that we won't hear back until after Thanksgiving break.

I hope that helps put some anxiety at ease, although I know for some it might make it worse? Sorry if that's the case. If I could pass meds, I'd give y'all some Clonazepam...

Cheers!

Thank you so so much Dani! Yikes I guess for me Long Beach followed by Sacramento and lastly Chico are going to be responding in that order. What is this preliminary email? Is it just an email to all the applicants that are declined or waitlisted?

And do you know anything about this program in terms of how much they accept and if you're wait listed how many people are waitlisted before they start declining? I think their faq page is still under construction... And thanks it does help me and not help me at the same time. I'm happy that we can finally get a morsel of information on our application and feeling more anxiety that we are finally hearing back. I applied to Sac State as a wild card thing because the school had redone their admission criteria.

Thank you Dani, I didn't know there was going to be stats released this fast. I'm hoping to hear good news today. Good luck everyone!

Email is out guys!

Eeekkk! Just read it, made me feel SO good! Fingers crossed from here... Good luck, everyone!

Same Dani it made me feel so assured! Is there any way to find out how much points the application gave you when you submitted it? Just wanted to verify what I got was correct!

Hello,

I have just read over the email received on 11/5/18 and it is so reassuring! I applied with a total of 70 points so I am hoping that after all the information is verified the point cutoff will not go up.

GPA: 4.0 non-adjusted; 40 Points

Teas: 87.3; 16 points

Bilingual: 3 points

Health related work experience: 3 points

1st generation: 4 points

No courses omitted: 2 points

No repeats: 2 points

Total: 70 points.

Was anyone able to submit their intent to enroll? My application is still pending with transcript holds although I did call the admissions office confirming they had everything. The 9th is coming up fast so I'm getting a bit worried..

Nurs16: I was able to submit my ITE a few weeks ago and finish the online orientation. Was also able to register for the January orientation date already... Are you not able to do any of those things? I can see why you're nervous, the 9th is only a few days away. Call admissions again and let us know what they say!

ClassCat: I don't think so. The only way to know what you submitted for student reported data is to have printed out your application before you submitted it. I don't know why they don't provide an option to review your application at a later date, it would be helpful if they did. Now it's up to the Nursing Admissions staff to confirm the student reported data/tell us whether it's valid or not. So nerve-wracking...

Strange...how did you send your ITE? I thought you had to be accepted into the University first? Mine says pending department decision which I'm assuming is the SON.

How are we supposed to submit our ITE if our admissions decision is still pending? There's legit no option to accept it.

I apologize for the confusion. Class Cat is right and you cannot accept the ITE until the SON accepts you. I just called again and spoke to a different employee who cleared it up.
