Hey! Well, to be perfectly honest (and this will become your favorite phrase) it depends. The entire cohort is divided up into clinical sections and based on your section you’ll have different schedules and different clinical locations. I can tell you my own personal schedule, it won’t be very helpful. There’s no predicting what section you’ll actually end up in... Also, the “schedule” can change with very little heads up so don’t plan on making plans, lol. A skill that everyone has been developing this semester is flexibility. But anyway, here ya go. For reference I’m in section 3 rotating at the Dignity Facilities ? Monday: 8-11 Nursing Care of Adults Lecture (N112) Tuesday: 12-3 Clinical Prep Off Site (N112) Wednesday: 6:30-2:30 Clinical Rotation Off Site (N112) Thursday: 9-12 Comm/Skills/Assess Lecture (N113) 3-5:50 Intro to Professional Nursing Lecture (N111) Friday: 8-5 Skills Lab (N113) Don’t be fooled by my “mellow looking schedule”, it’s anything but…Honestly, VERY few people in the program work. I’d recommend not working if you can pull it off? Especially during frontloading. The first three weeks are like boot camp, you barely have time to breathe let alone think about your job!

Hey, guys! I'm a first semester Sac State Nursing Student and a huge fan of this thread that happens each admission cycle. It's such a great forum to get support and info from others who are going through EXACTLY what you're going through. Encourage and get to know each other, you very well may be spending the next two years practically living with the people on this thread and they will end up becoming your family <3 I'm rooting for all of you! You've picked a phenomenal program to apply to. The faculty members are absolutely amazing and support you in any way they can. Also, you'll be surrounded by like-minded people who are some of the most intelligent and hardworking folks you've ever met. Even better than that is that they are all intensely dedicated to nursing school and the profession of nursing! Keep your spirits up, don't let the anxiety get the better of you, and enjoy the last of your free time... As soon as you get that email, you'll be off and running to get ready for your program. I'm so disheartened by the point increase. That 69 was keeping my spirits up, hopefully I'm situated well on the waitlist... Has anyone emailed Heidi to ask what happened? I guess it doesn't matter either way, what's done is done and we'll all find out in a matter of days for sure. Good luck to those still in the running!

Ya, I was able to submit my ITE on October 16th (just checked to make sure I wasn't crazy, you guys have me wondering). I received my University Admission Decision around that time. They haven't admitted me to the Nursing Program yet, but I am on "Admitted" status for CSUS as an "Expressed Interest in Nursing" major... not sure if that makes sense. They should have sent you an email telling you your general University Admission status already, that was supposed to go out in October... I wish I could be of more help on this particular topic, but I'm at a loss! I didn't realize that people hadn't received their general admission status yet. Is there anyone else on this thread that got theirs in October? What do you think?

Nurs16: I was able to submit my ITE a few weeks ago and finish the online orientation. Was also able to register for the January orientation date already... Are you not able to do any of those things? I can see why you're nervous, the 9th is only a few days away. Call admissions again and let us know what they say! ClassCat: I don't think so. The only way to know what you submitted for student reported data is to have printed out your application before you submitted it. I don't know why they don't provide an option to review your application at a later date, it would be helpful if they did. Now it's up to the Nursing Admissions staff to confirm the student reported data/tell us whether it's valid or not. So nerve-wracking...

Aaand I'm back. I spoke with someone on the phone at the program. They should have the preliminary email to us by the end of the day today, or (at the latest) end of day Monday. Yay! We're still on track for final decisions coming this month. They're trying to get everything done and out before Thanksgiving, but it's likely that we won't hear back until after Thanksgiving break. I hope that helps put some anxiety at ease, although I know for some it might make it worse? Sorry if that's the case. If I could pass meds, I'd give y'all some Clonazepam... Cheers! -Dani

JK... I knew she was retiring, but thought it would be in the spring. Her last day was yesterday. Dang. I know there was another person to reach out to, I'll dig around and see who it is. Unless you guys know off the top of your head?
