CSUS Sacramento State Spring 2019

Published

Not sure if it has been made already, but I decided to make a forum for Spring 2019 applicants for Sacramento State!

I have 69 points. This is bad news for me. I have an unadjusted 4.0, 92% TEAS, and 600 hrs healthcare experience.

I didn't receive the updated email, I'm probably on the waitlist. All you accepted ones better turn down your seats ;-)

Yeah, the 69 moving up to a 70 is a blow. I read a few other forums of previous semesters, and I have never seen the situation of a cutoff moving up. How does it even move up?

The campus is closed through Thanksgiving -- Campus Update. It's unlikely the acceptances will go out Monday 11/26.

By chance, could someone who got the email copy and paste what the email had said regarding the new cutoff? I don't understand why it's potentially higher now... it just doesn't make sense judging by past semesters. Maybe it was a mistake made by the nursing school?

We regret, based on a review of the student-reported information provided on your supplemental nursing application, your current rank in the applicant pool is outside the Spring 2019 selected and alternate ranges.

§ We received over 240 applications for 80 seats.

§ Based on student-reported data, the applicant ranked number 80 has 70 points-the applicant ranked 130 has 66 points. We regret this is an eight-point increase over previous spring terms.

§ Due to impaction, deadlines are strictly enforced-candidates are not allowed to submit missing documentation after deadline or include Fall 2018 grades in the Spring 2019 Nursing GPA calculation.

§ It is your responsibility to review our online program information to ensure you have satisfied the prerequisite requirements and deadlines for admission, Traditional BSN.

§ Your transcripts, TEAS score, and Optional Criteria documentation will remain on file if you reapply.

§ If you have any questions or concerns, please email Heidi Travis, Student Services Professional II, at [email protected] by Wednesday, November 21, 2018 with "CONCERNS" in caps in the subject line. Due to human resource limitations, please do not call the School of Nursing. Thank you!

For comparison only, we have included your student-reported information with the Spring 2019 applicant pool data to help you judge your competitiveness.

Then it tells u how many points u had... i believe the first email was regarding unverified student data. Now is actually verified..

I'm so disheartened by the point increase. That 69 was keeping my spirits up, hopefully I'm situated well on the waitlist... Has anyone emailed Heidi to ask what happened? I guess it doesn't matter either way, what's done is done and we'll all find out in a matter of days for sure. Good luck to those still in the running!

Acceptances are unlikely to go out before 11/30. American River delayed theirs until the 30th because of the fire. Sac State applications for fall 2019 are due 11/30.

XYZ just sent an email.. decisions wont be sent out until December 3rd.

Well, I'll be attending SF State so that opens one seat up for all of you on the wait list or those waiting to hear where they stand. Best of luck!

I just wanted to let everyone know, I just got an email back from ****. The person ranked 80, does have 69 points. It must have been a mistake sent out on the email on the 16th! :)

WR623, THANK YOU!

This has been quite the roller coaster... Anyone else feeling it?
