  1. I'm from Sacramento so I only really know the Sac State process of application notification. Does Chico send out a preliminary email notifying applicants of the point cutoff for this round of applications? Or is it just a final decision of entrance/waitlist/denied?
  2. I'm applying to Chico as a second choice, but I've been provisionally accepted as well. Is it possible to extend the deadline past mid-November or would I just have to bite the bullet and accept on the chance of getting into the program? I am applying with 91 points.
  3. Definitely a little panicky about what the statistics will be this semester. I feel like the new criteria does fix some of the issues arising in the past, but I also believe they lowered points on some pretty arbitrary criteria like the health experience or not having an economic background section in general. Just hoping for the best over here! GPA: 4.0 (40 pts) TEAS: 94.0 (24 pts) Health Experience: 100 hrs (3 pts) No omission (2 pts) No repeats (2 pts) Overall: 71 pts
  4. I'm creating this forum for a discussion of the new nursing program admission change for Spring 2019. After some strong feedback from applicants for Fall 2018, the CSUS school of nursing has, once again, updated the criteria for entrance. Please leave any thoughts, comments, and concerns! I am personally applying for Spring 2019 admission so I'd love to hear your thoughts on the changes as well!
