I even messaged one of the current students and they didn't know why it was being suspended. The future suspension is a little disheartening...I've already confirmed my spot in another program (thank you @tcl2016) but after being waitlisted by CSUN this past year I'm still following this thread and awaiting this year's decision.

I am curious what other kinds of cutbacks the school will be enforcing on this year's cohorts due to lack of funding.

I wonder if they can cancel the program midway. That would be horrible.

Wow, I really hope not. They should make it a guarantee for the 2016 cohort at least. I kind of wish I had other options to go to now. I wouldn't want to go through all this and have it cancelled or not qualify to take the nclex.

FYI...if anyone is feeling extreme apprehension about the 2016 cohort in light of next year's program suspension, University of San Francisco is still taking applications for their MECN program. Here is a link to the website. The program is located at their Orange County campus.

I don't think that they would discontinue the program midway through for their 2016 cohorts but I also wonder what cuts they'll be making to the program. The graduation fundraiser page by this last cohort really has me curious about what's going on with the program's funding.

I also applied to Csun absn for the summer cohort. I am seeing that people received acceptances from the university. I received all the emails from the nursing department but my portal still simply says applicant. Anyone not accepted to the university yet?

I received acceptance to the university but not the department yet. I didn't know I had to drop off transcripts to the school as well until the week prior to the deadline. (meaning, they required 2 sets of transcripts, one to the department and one to the school) -- Which also seemed bizarre to me as to why they wouldn't be able to retrieve from the school themselves.

I turned in all my transcripts and called and made sure admissions and nursing had them and I still have not received an acceptance from the university. My portal still just says applicant. I'm thinking they just haven't finished reviewing the applications for the university yet.
