CSULB Nursing Fall 2021

Published

Hi everyone! As CSU applications open up, I wanted to start a thread for all of my fellow pre-nursing students looking to transfer to CSULB!

Hi! It does let you sign up for a date and time you want. However, the times listed are in Central Time Zone, so have that in mind when you sign up. When I signed up for my test, I signed up too late so only the 5:30AM slot was left for the date I took off work so I had to take it. I would sign up ASAP so make an account now, and check periodically for the January dates to come out.

I would start preparing for the TEAS about 6 weeks beforehand (general recommendation). The test is very doable, with proper studying, you'll do just great! I recommend getting package of your choice (Practice Tests, Study Manual, Online Modules) from the ATI website. They give you only the information you need to know, which simplifies the test greatly. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions!! ?

Got it! Thank you so much for answering my question. In addition to that, can I ask does it matter where I will be taking the test? And where should I start with the preparation first? Read the Study Manual?

Thanks once again! ?

Sure! I'm pretty sure all the TEAS tests will be remotely proctored at home. They will proctor you through Proctorio, a Google Chrome extension you can download onto Google Chrome. Depending on what package you get from ATI, I got the comprehensive package that includes the study manual and online modules. I completed the online modules first, and after I mastered it I would go to the study manual and read and complete the section I just mastered. This helped me reinforce my knowledge and remember all of the information that I just read! I would recommend studying one section per week, then using the last 2 weeks to focus on the section you need most, and take one practice test each week. Or, some people like to take a practice test before they start preparing to see their weaknesses, and take one after they prepare. It's up to you ?

Good luck!

Thanks so much again! Sorry for being a bit nervous and inquisitive.

For the attached image, should I put CSULB TEAS as my intuition? And Expected Graduation Date is referring to the date that I will graduate in BSN not for the college I'm attending atm right?

For the practice tests, are they limited attempts? or I can do as many as I want?

Thanks a bunch!

No worries! I was the same way too before my TEAS! For your instition, I put where I was currently taking classes from, or transferring from. I put my expected graduation date for my current AA. For the practice tests, you can retake them!! And they score them right away so you can see where you need some help. Best wishes my friend!!

I am studying this exact way! Have you taken the test yet?

Hi everyone. I completed my prerequisites and the TEAS in 2019 and I'm only waitlisted at LATTC but this year I figured I'll just apply to see if I have a chance. I submitted my application yesterday and I also applied to CSULA. I will also be applying to LA County in Jan. My stats:

Science GPA: 3.76

Gen GPA: 3.6

TEAS Cumulative: 84.7

TEAS Reading: 89.4

Total Points: 9.04

I feel like my stats are good but not good enough ?

Hi guys!

I am hoping to apply to Fall 2021 and I just have a question. I noticed online that it says the Fall Admission for Cal State Apply deadline is "October 1st-November 30th" but on the Cal State Apply Application, it says the deadline is "January 15th, 2021". Do you guys know when the Cal State Apply one is actually due? /:

Any help would be very appreciated, thanks you! ><

I'm not sure where the date of January 15th came from but the CSU Apply deadline is always Nov 30th but this year they've extended it to December 4th. The supplemental transfer application opens on January 4th and is due February 1st. CSULB's nursing application is already open and is due February 10th.

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone, I plan on taking TEAS in January 2021 for Fall 2021 admission. Could you guys please share me some tips on how to do well with the TEAS? And where to get the study packet for TEAS?

Thank you so much!

Hi! I am also taking the TEAS in January 2021! I am currently using the mometrix book and study supplements (study guide, practice assessments, etc) from the ATI website. I am so glad that I am not alone taking the TEAS on January. ? Best of luck!

I feel silly for asking. However, does anyone know a timeline of specific dates they want us to complete the TEAS? (up to what date is considered valid for Fall 2021 admission). I do know that the deadline for TEAS score submission is February 10th. I am aware that some schools want our TEAS completed at least 4-5 days in advance before the deadline.

Any clarification will be greatly appreciated!

Also, they extended the CSU application deadline to December 15th! ?
