  1. I sent an email to CSULB nursing back in early February and she stated, “Unfortunately, our application does not generate an automatic email confirmation”, so no one receives a confirmation haha. I did email her asking her to confirm that my application was received and it was a couple months ago
  2. And me... I don’t even know who y’all are ? Does that mean you got admitted [as a csulb pre-nursing student]?
  3. Small factors I took into consideration: SDSU is a 3 year program whereas I’m hoping to take the semester 2 year route at csulb. Personally would’ve considered sdsu more if it didn’t come with such a big “party school” title and afraid that’ll bring up any concerns in the future but don’t get me wrong, I’m talking about stereotypes, not the quality of their program or school, and either way I’m not sure if that’s a big deal considering that nursing is difficult anywhere and everywhere we go. Something I thought was really cool about SDSU’s program is that they REQUIRE their nursing students to take an international experience to increase awareness. Besides that, I’m picking CSULB bc of huge factors like family, location, and expenses. I know what you mean though, I’m set out for CSULB too but it’s a little sad at the same time to think that I’ll be missing out on this San Diego culture, social life, and overall ability to live in and become part of a different city. Wise words from @Cenovial, I don’t think there’s currently a notable factor that makes 1 school absolutely superior than the other. It’s what we make of it!
  4. Finally!! Just got the email at 3:33pm today as well! I noticed the wrong date for orientation too (I think she copied and pasted the December date meant for Spring 2020’s email) but the attached letter says it’s on Saturday, June 5 from 8:00am-3:30pm, and I do remember the staff making a statement during the interviews that orientation will be on June 5. Hopefully no students are left in the dust about their admission at this point and congratulations to those who got the email ?
  5. I checked on other threads and I believe Fall 2018 received their email on April 30 which is so late ? contemplating about just paying the fee for my transcript and AP scores to another CSU just in case my admission to CSULB flops somehow
  6. Hey! I was also curious about how long it takes them to receive/verify our AP scores. I guess I can’t call it an issue of mine yet because I’ve only ordered a score send 4 days ago but it’s making me anxious. I know College Board’s standard delivery takes 7-14 days so if you’ve sent it more than 14 days ago, maybe emailing csulb would be best!
  7. Does anyone see an option to decline admission? I'd love to open up a spot for someone on the waitlist ASAP but it just says admitted with no option to decline. My to-do list has deadlines on April 15 so maybe my incompletion will open up a spot!
  8. I just checked and I received the same message as you ?? congratulations!! For anyone who’s waitlisted, does it say your spot on the waitlist?
  9. I’ve heard of some applicants receiving a second interview as well- it’s your chance to really shine here! Are you a second degree applicant?
  10. How did everyone feel about the communication exercise? I’m honestly surprised that there wasn’t going to be more activities and chances to talk!
  11. I’m glad you sent proof of your application. It seems like CSULA has disorganization here and there, last year being Ninja who had to appeal even though she(/he) should’ve gotten the acceptance in the initial batch of emails. Earlier this year on 1/27 I received an email saying my application was withdrawn because they didn’t receive my NursingCAS! I sent them proof of my payment and they cleared it up a week after and I just received my acceptance yesterday. Good luck with everything!!
  12. Besides GPA, I would assume they still calculate the TEAS criteria score primarily based on the reading and composite score since their website states that they “will accept the scores from the one test date with the highest composite score (composite and reading scores cannot be split from two dates).” If I’m not mistaken, they also raise your GPA by 0.1 if you’re considered “local preference” even when applying to a highly impacted major (although I’m not sure if it’s possible to have a 4.1 when calculating our score). I applied with a 9.57 (4.0, 4.0, 87.2% reading, 91.3% composite) and it seems to be the lowest mentioned score on this thread that was able to get an invitation. Not quite sure since not everyone has mentioned their score and not every pre-nursing student is on this forum!
  13. Got the email at 7:10pm, congrats to everyone who got it!! I wonder how it’s all gonna play out on zoom
  14. Has anyone been accepted?
