Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program.

Did you apply to CSULA? Their pre-reqs do not expire, but hopefully you did some volunteer work or have some work experience if you applied there. Good luck to you! Let us know if you hear anything. The communication exercise emails should be sent out soon...
Hey! Where does it say when pre-reqs expire?
The programs will say somewhere on the website for applying about recency in regards to prereqs and TEAS/HESI scores. In general, most have a recency requirement of three to five years. I have seen some requiring a year; usually, this is the TEAS/HESI. General education usually does not fall under this.

I can’t find where it says that anywhere! I’m going to call today. Luckily, Microbiology will expire next year but I’m good for this year. Phewwwwww
just will suck if I have to apply again next year then I wouldn’t be able to if they do indeed expire after 5 years. Or maybe can transfers apply for Spring transfer? Or do they have to be a current student?

I found it here in the FAQ’s: https://www.csulb.edu/college-of-health-human-services/school-of-nursing/undergraduate-programs/undergraduate-BSN-faq-and
I also attached a screen shot in case you can’t find it. But don’t worry you will most likely get in this time around if you have good stats. Keep in mind you can only apply to CSULB two times.
Also, if you don’t get into LB, keep in mind that csula does not have a rule about expired pre-reqs if you haven’t applied yet (they only let you apply one time).
I know I know, so many rules! It drove me crazy last year. Glad the applying process is over for me LOL. Good luck!
Thank you so much for posting this screen shot! I actually didn’t apply to CSULA.
I applied for 12 schools literally like trying to not go insane by how many rules I had to abide by. And each school is so different!!
Don't forget the differing deadline dates and application processes.
If it makes you feel any better, I applied to nine different schools--ADN, BSN, direct enter MSN. I got acceptance offers for one of each level. Some I missed out on because you have to apply to the university, wait a couple of months, then apply to the nursing school.
That requirement is confusing because it says social sciences, not all classes, expire in 10 years. However, English is definitely not a social science. I feel like they would have listed it if so, since they listed like 10 items.
I wonder if the person on here with the old English class was accepted, or at least was invited to the communication exercise!

Oh wow thank you so much for responding! I remember poring through this thread and seeing your post and wondering. I have the same issue with an English 101 course. Glad to hear I was right about it!
I hope you kick *** in school!

You know what is funny, I think it changed because I SWEAR last year it said English, etc. but it’s possible they changed that rule! Yes, that person DID get in. Another funny fact... I’m at cal state LA where they say supposedly you can only apply ONCE, however, someone who happened to apply two times got into the program. It just goes to show that they really don’t check as much as we think. Being honest, I think they have these little rules to deter applicants, but I don’t think they check the minute details the way we think they do. Good luck to all of you btw! It’s almost time for y’all to start hearing about the interviews

Hey everyone!
Sorry to bother but I’m an applicant for Fall 2021 and was wondering if anyone can share their point-based score who hasn’t already in the beginning of this thread! I’m currently applying with a 9.57 and don’t know if this will make the cut. Thanks a lot in advanced ?
