CSULB FALL 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program.

I'll start with my stats:

TEAS reading: 89.4%

TEAS overall: 92%

GE Pre-req GPA: 4.0

Science Pre-req GP: 4.0

TOTAL POINTS: 9.62

Let me know your stats so we can all compare?? Thank you so much everyone, and good luck to you all!! xo

Thanks for starting the thread! My stats are:

TEAS reading: 93.6%

TEAS overall: 96.7%

GE GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

I'm not sure if I calculated my total points correctly, but I think it's 9.806. Is (TEAS reading x 0.02) + (TEAS overall x 0.02) + (GE GPA/2) + (Science GPA) correct?

Yes you calculated correctly. You have a very good chance, you better get in with those scores! Lol. Good luck to you.

You have a very good chance as well! I'm pretty concerned about the communication exercise though, I've heard it's easy and fun but I get nervous easily haha

I think you have a pretty decent chance based on previous threads and the pool stats on the website! It's pretty crazy that there were 800+ applicants for Fall 2019 compared to 500+ in previous Fall semesters, though. I really hope there aren't that many applicants for 2020

I’ve taken them teas 4 times and this is the highest I can mentally able to do. I have so much direct patient experience so I wished they had personal statements or experience options. But ya it’s crazy! Hopefully not as many for us and that the cut off is still around 9.3 like last time! Your score looks great ?

Did you apply to other CSUs? Most of the other CSUs I applied to give extra points for volunteering and clinical experience. I think I have a much lower chance of getting into those bc I have no experience yet, but you probably have a really high chance!

Where did you find the pool stats? I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find it online! Lol

I would say you have a good chance, but it is so hard to know nowadays. CSULA and CSULB has gotten so competitive in the past few years, it’s ridiculous!! Lol. Hey random question but how did you get a 3.93 in science if there is only 4 courses?? Lol. Just curious how that math adds up haha.
