CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

Has anyone talked to M.L. today?

No I have not reached out to Monica. Im sure that email is what we have been waiting for. I think the School of Nursing will send supplemental information to follow the acceptance letter from the University.

Has anyone talked to M.L. today?

I called and someone picked up. I asked her (not M.L.) if this was the e-mail we've been waiting for or are we getting another one from SON and she said she didn't know so she transferred me to someone else. I got a voicemail though so I left a message. :nailbiting:

PRE-REQ GPA

2.75- 2.99 = 1 point

3.00-3.19 = 2 points

3.20-3.39 = 4 points

3.40-3.59 = 6 points

3.60- 3.79 = 8 points

3.80-4.00 = 10 points

CUMULATIVE GPA

2.75-2.99 = 1 point

3.00-3.19 = 2 points

3.20-3.39 = 3 points

3.40-3.69 = 4 points

3.70 or higher = 5 points

TEAS SCORES

Reading English

40-49 0 0

50-59 1 1

60-69 2 2

70-79 3 3

80-89 4 4

90-99 5 5

VOLUNTEER/HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a health-care setting 3 points

as an employee. or

Volunteer experience in patient-related situation

or student experience in a patient related situation
