  1. Yes, same! I was like, well it'll be hectic and unexpected but not like I was gonna go travel or have fun while waiting for Spring, it's all ruined because of COVID LOL No she hasn't unfortunately. I just need a few questions answered. Did you say yes yet?
  2. OMG, I got it too! I emailed one of the program reps for more questions about it. It would be a little crazy cause it would start in 5 weeks, too short of a notice to settle everything plus I do work full time right now. I'm still thinking about it What about you?
  3. Yay! Good luck to us, I'll update if I hear anything new!
  4. I submitted mine maybe about a week or two weeks ago, but I did get an email that they extended the application deadline to July 31. Yikes, super anxious about it.
  5. Thank yo for your insight. I'm hoping to get into the FNP but I did put gero primary as my 2nd choice. I live only about 4-5 miles from the main campus so that's why APU is my first choice. I did graduate from CSULA but they only accept once a year.
  6. Oh WOW!, really?? Did they move it? CONGRATS!!
  7. Hi! I'm currently applying to Azusa Pacific University's traditional MSN with FNP specialty for Spring 2021. I wanted to see if there are any applicants out there so we can chat or APU NP grads who went through the experience to maybe help out with some insight. Any responses would be much appreciated!!
  8. Hi! I know this is an older thread but I am currently filling out my application for Spring 2021 FNP. How competitive is it? What are they looking for with admissions? I'm super nervous. I live really close to the main campus so this is the most optimal school to go to for me.
  9. Will I get notified by anyone to do this? Or should I inquire?
  10. Would you please update on your status if you end up passing? I tested same day as you but in the afternoon but mine says on hold for PVT.
  11. Okay so I took the test yesterday afternoon and I stopped at 75, I don’t know how to feel about it. It’s like a blur lol. I was getting very easy and then very hard (at least for me) and then easy again. Right after I tried the trick after getting the email within about 5 minutes (I guess I didn’t wait the 2 hours people suggested) and got the bad pop up. I tried it again a few hours after that and it now says the results are on hold and it has been on hold since. What do you guys think about this? I would like to insert that something happened after my test - the testing center didn’t get the notification for me to scan my palm out (like how they scan your palm in in the beginning) and it just said NCLEX results went through without me doing it. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Freaking out come in waves!
  12. CSULA SON got a $685K grant not too long ago. Pretty awesome guys! Cal State LA's School of Nursing awarded $685,
  13. I think it's always best to apply for BSN programs but of course, it depends on what she really wants. Community colleges in general are impacted so anything that can give her priority registration, take it. As for chem, she doesn't need to take it because of the AP credit (check with a counselor cause there are many different types of chem and different schools want different chems) She has to start off with general bio and then on to the other sciences. I know someone who did it in 2 years and transferred to a BSN program, I did it in 2 1/2 because I wanted to make sure my GPA was at its best. As for volunteer/job experience, she can join many programs such as Clinical Care Extender or get a CNA license. I think it's best to get some kind of hospital experience because not only will this give her extra points, it will solidify as to why she wants to be a nurse. Good luck!
  14. Seems like they have clinicals first sem now cause Fundamentals it says there's clinical and it's scheduled like 7-1, 2-5pm. I might be wrong though!
  15. I really do wonder what's the deciding factor of who's waitlisted and who's accepted if the cutoff is 24. There seems to be a lot of waitlisted 24's compared to last year..
