CSULA Fall 2016 Nursing (BSN)

Updated:   Published

I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!

Can we start marking the statuses as admitted/rejected once the letters come in? I want us to be able to keep track.

Oh okay, thanks for sharing. Do you know how many points your friend had?

She didn't get to turn in her supplemental app that's why she automatically got rejected but I'm curious to those who have really really low points on how they're doing status-wise you know? I don't know anyone who has anything below 20..

Could someone with a 27 call the admission office to see what they say.

Where are all the transfers applying from? Just curious :) I'm at Palomar right now in San Marcos.

Bad idea. They don't know anything, like I said. With a score of 27, your chances of getting in is like 95%

I am currently at West LA city college, I moved to the west coast from GA where I attended Georgia College & State University where I studied political Science.
Specializes in Surgical/Trauma/Transplant ICU.

No way Beh.qui, I grew up in Encinitas/La Costa area! I know a lot of people who are at Palomar and Mira Costa.

I decided to leave home after high school and have been attending Santa Barbara City College!

I'm from San Dimas, about 26 miles from CSULA! :cat:

Oh I see. Yea I'm curious to know as well. Especially since I'm at 24 points which has been the cut off for previous years. :(

I calculated my points and I got 24. However, I called admissions after seeing the admitted in my GET status, and they told me that the Nursing department rejected me and that they decided I should go into nutritional science instead since it was my alternative major.. So I guess no CSULA nursing for me.

I'm sorry to hear about that but let's still wait to hear from SON to make sure. I'm curious if the cutoff went up since you have a 24. Last year's cutoff was 24 too.

Hey! I'm also currently at Palomar finishing up prerequisites. I can't wait for this semester to be over already haha. Did you also apply to CSUSM nursing?
