I realize it may be early, but I wanted to start a thread for the CSULA Fall 2016 nursing program hopefuls. I'm sure we will all have a lot of questions, especially because of the upcoming semester conversion. I have plenty of questions about application deadlines, volunteer hours, TEAS, etc. It will be nice to have a community where we can ask each other questions and offer advice. Eventually we can share stats, and we may even end up in the same cohort!
Admittance to the university does not guarantee acceptance to the nursing program
Yes, we know that. But, that's the exact same thing that happened Fall '14 applicants. They got admitted to the university and then the next they they got the nursing school acceptances. Those who were alternates were still incomplete. We're not saying we're in, it's just nice to have something different.
I wonder if with the new nursingcas system if people had a harder time applying/less people applied this year. Any thoughts on this?
Actually, I had at least 2 friends that didn't apply because they did "get" it. So I'm guessing there are a good amount of people that thought the same thing or they didn't wanna pay $45.
I calculated my points and I got 24. However, I called admissions after seeing the admitted in my GET status, and they told me that the Nursing department rejected me and that they decided I should go into nutritional science instead since it was my alternative major.. So I guess no CSULA nursing for me.
I am wondering if i should call now, I did not list an alternate major on my application.I calculated my points and I got 24.
