CSU Fullerton Fall 2010 applicants?

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen any postings from CSUF EL-MSN Fall 2010 applicants! Are there any of you out there? I received my complete checklist about two weeks ago and was curious if anyone else has heard anything from the school?? Good luck to all of you!!!

congrats gashin!

COngrats to those who got accepted! To those that are on the waitlist, I'll keep my fingers crossed, but I'm sure you'll have a good chance of getting in! All of us have applied to many other schools so CSUF may not be everyone's first choice.

I'm deciding between CSUF & Georgetown now. :( I have NO idea what to do!

acceptance/alternate/non-acceptance letters should be emailed to you. Just got mine today and im on the alternate list. =( hope i get in.

Alternate list, omg I knew it. What the heck is going on here...its so hard to get into nursing schools. Congrats to everyone that did...you must be awesome applicants!

I feel like the alternate list might have more than 15 people on it!

Martinosa I feel the exact same way! I think there may be more than 15 people on the alternate list! I want to call, but I don't want them to get mad at me!

Well, I decided to call anyways and I was told she didn't have the information and that they don't give out that "type" of information. Maybe somebody else would have better luck!

I got my rejection email this morning. Oh well....I already knew I wouldn't get in due to no invitation for an interview. I am glad I sent my letter of intent to the out of state school!

Did those of you who were wait listed or accepted have volunteer or work experience?

Here's my stats for people applying next time:

3.5 undergrad GPA, B.S. Bio

In pre-reqs I had 2 Bs, rest As

2 quarters of research experience in pathology lab

96 hours volunteering hospital

I'm actually surprised I got in as I know a ton of people probably had 4.0s.

I got my rejection email today too, like I did not know that was comming since I too did not get an interview. Kind of upset that they will not go over your application with you so you can get some idea of the areas that you need to improve on in order to be competetive next year.

Britt7, I am on the waitlist and I didn't have any work experience but I had 240 hours of volunteer experience at a hospital over the last year and a half.

To the people who were waitlisted or to those who didn't get in, don't give up!! I got rejected from LB last year and had an entire year off, but I felt that this year was truly a blessing. Trust me, I was devastated, but I learned & did more in this year alone while I had time off than I have during my entire undergrad. I didn't understand why I was not accepted, but now I feel that it was to prepare me for these upcoming years.

I didn't have any work experience, but had a little over 100 hours of volunteer work at a local hospital. I felt that the interview was the "make it or break it" part in the decision making process, as I don't have as much volunteer/work experience as most people.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those who were waitlisted!
