CSU Fullerton Fall 2010 applicants?

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen any postings from CSUF EL-MSN Fall 2010 applicants! Are there any of you out there? I received my complete checklist about two weeks ago and was curious if anyone else has heard anything from the school?? Good luck to all of you!!!

Yeah yours is the only posting I have found! I got my checklist in December, but I mailed mine out the first day in October I think. I just submitted a final transcript for a fall semester class to the nursing office, but when I called last week to let them know...they couldn't give me any information about my application. Which I'm fine with I guess, because everything should be done, but its just not that reassuring. I read last year's thread, looks like they were interviewed the 1st week of March. I'm wondering if it will be delayed though, the economic crisis with the cal state schools has not gotten any better. Can't wait to hear any news.

Wow! I didn't think anyone was going to respond! Yeah I mailed mine the first week of November and got mine pretty shortly after, but just a checklist that they received everything and nothing else haha. I keep checking my fullerton e-mail and titan online application status and nothing has changed. They just say no admission decision has been reached. Did you go to an information session? The speaker that day said if we weren't notified for an interview in January then you can assume you probably weren't accepted, however she didn't seem to know very much about the application process when students were asking questions. I guess we just sit back and wait. I think it will be delayed, at this rate I think more students are applying than even last year so that will push things back. Have you applied anywhere else?

Yeah mine says the same thing online under admissions status. I do have an icon in my to-do box saying submit final transcript from fall semester to admissions (I already did that they must never update the site, I will call admissions tomorrow morning and ask). I didn't go to any admissions sessions because they were all on Monday/Wednesday at the same time when I had a class. I figured the interview would be like an orientation if I got that far.

January, are you serious...why aren't more people on here yet wondering about those interviews? They will be now, the forum lurkers will come out panicked! I wish they would sent out a mass email and at least let us know some sort of timeline. Yeah I'm not going to worry until the end of the month, or until people start posting that they got interviews, lol. I am also applying to csula, sfsu, csulb, and ucla. What about you?

Hellllllo! It looks like you guys have beat me to this! Does anybody know how many applicants there were this year? During the orientation, the lady said that last year they had to cut enrollment in half and they're still not sure about this year.

I'm guessing we'll hear back early March for an interview?? I'm extremely nervous as CSUF is my first choice.

Hahaha, the forum lurkers will panic, that's hilarious! Something that would happen to me if I saw that! That's what she said in the information session but who knows, during that time they had not received all the applications so they probably couldn't have told us how long it would be to get out the interview requests. I think your right about the interviews in March though so we'll just all have to wait together!

AeroNat13, did you call them this morning? On my website it also says that I have not turned in any transcripts, however my checklist shows that I have turned them all in. I called to check on them awhile ago because I sent them in early November and a lady told me it takes them a long time to update that website. She said it's the main website and last year they received over 32,000 applications for the whole school so it took them forever to update it. You may have found out different information this morning though! I am applying to CSUF, CSULB for the EL-MSN, and MSMC, Samuel Merritt, USF, and Concordia for the ABSN and Saddleback for their Associates.

Meems509, Welcome! I have no idea how many applicants their were this time around. I agree with AeroNat, I wish they would send us some sort of timeline so we wouldn't have to call and bug them. I really hope they don't cut the enrollment, I highly doubt they will if anything it will stay at 38 or whatever it was when they cut it down. Although, I think they heard around late May or June last year if they got accepted and the lady at the information session said this year they are due for their government funding again around May or June so MAYBE they will be able to take in a bigger class! Haha, that's some positive thinking though!! :)

I did call this morning and they said they have no way of checking if they were received, only if they are processed and entered into the system. Some schools are just better with updating their website stuff, though it all seems a little fishy to me...most schools just look up your ID number and tell you even if its not updated. I'm not used to this ? approach.

You have some awesome schools there, Samuel Merritt wow, super competitive...yay for csulb I'm really excited about that one. Can't wait for this stuff to happen...I will be the first to post if I hear anything and I turned my stuff on the first day so that means I get to hear first right, haha.

See you guys at the interviews!!!!!!!!...I'm hoping for a bigger class too.

Aww well I guess none of that is helpful! Yeah, IF I get in anywhere I will feel very lucky, their all great schools! I am also really excited about CSULB, are they in the process of building a new nursing area?

Definitely post if you hear anything, and I hope to see you at the interviews too!!

Yeah CSULB got 5 million to build a new nursing building addition. They are constructing it right now...its going to be done in June...just in time for the next incoming class. There's nothing like new buildings to get me excited. But Fullerton's simulation lab is suppose to be pretty cool too!

Do you guys have an order (#1, #2, #3...) of the schools that you have applied to? The new nursing building is coming along slowllllyyyyy! I just visited the campus today and saw what they were doing

I saw on their website they had a part time el-msn program does anyone know if this is correct?

Meems, I don't have an order, my family keeps telling me to make one, but i'm just hoping to get in somewhere!

As for the part-time El-MSN, I have no idea about that i'm sorry. The last I heard they didn't have a part-time one, but if the website says that then maybe they do. I would suggest calling and talking with someone at the school about it.
