CSU Bakersfield Fall 2015 Nursing

I haven't seen a CSU Bakersfield thread anywhere for its Fall 2015 program, so I thought I'd make one for anyone that applied there.

I'm in the process of taking Physiology with lab now (under Prof. Stark). 2nd test coming up this week :arghh:

Anyone hoping to get into CSUB?!

Wow, thanks a lot for the information! This definitely helps. I was trying to avoid going to the student health services because I live in LA currently but I'd drive there since it would make things easier.

Should I just go to the student health services and ask for the health clearance form? Would they walk me through the steps haha (is that what you did?)

Yes, I basically just told them that I needed to get everything done for the nursing program and asked them to walk me through the process, and they knew what I was talking about. They're pretty helpful in there (I know some "regular" dr offices that wouldn't have taken half the time they took with me).

If you're in LA, then it might be easier to see your regular physician for everything. The reason I said health services was easier for me is because all I had to say was "nursing program" and "traditional BSN" and they knew what I needed right away. But I also live not too far from the school. Being in LA, it would probably be better to go to your own dr so you don't have to drive all the way up here 4 or 5 times.

You could call student health services and let them know that you need to start the process for health clearance for the Traditional BSN Nursing program, and let them know you want to go through your own Dr (if that's what you decide). Tell them that you would like some help with the process, what exactly you need to have done, etc. I'm sure they'd help you out.

I just had to blow off some steam here!

Our Physiology final was Monday and waiting for my class grade to post is torture! I'm pretty sure I know how I did in the class, but the sooner the grade it posted, the sooner the department will finish accepting/rejecting, the sooner I'll know what I'll be doing with my life in the Fall!

the student dorms are nice, they just opened in January so they're not even a year old!

There are a couple of facebook groups for professors and books.

Yeah they look nice! I just don't want to live in the dorms again, I like apartments much more
