CSN Spring 2016

Published

I know it's incredibly early, there's not even a board for Fall 2015 and their applications are due in 2 months, but I can't wait.

Is there anyone else here planning on applying for the Spring 2016 program?

I'm taking Biology 223 and 251 this semester. I'm also taking my TEAS on the 17th so I have time to take it more than once if need be. I figure I'll have 31 or 32 points. Everything except Biology 224 (which I'll be taking during the fall 15 semester) and previous medical experience, since massage therapy doesn't count.

I'm just curious if any of my potential future classmates are here already, reading up on things like I am.

No problem (I hope). If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

The Fall 2015 thread seems to be dead. Sad. I think everyone is going to the Facebook page... Which is something I don't use.

This one, right?

Yes that's the book.

By the way, did you take your teas on the computer or paper and pencil?

It was on the computer. They give you scratch paper and a pencil to work out problems.

I'll be at Cheyenne on Monday and have to seeing by Henderson to get the music book from someone. I'm going to PM you my number so you can just text me. My class is from 2-320. I'll bring the book with me and we can meet up wherever.

Wellthatsodd

Ill text you on monday.

So I took my teas today and verdict is in.........

I PASSED!!!!. Got an overal 82. That english language and grammer section didn't go so well though. Looks like I'll be applying with 40 points. Only thing left to do is meet with an advisor on monday and then turn my application in. Im so jealous of ViperJustin. I would have been halfway through nursing school had I decided to pursue this career since I took CNA course.

You're crazy! I don't know anyone who'd be jealous of me. Kidding....

Congrats and you'll definitely get in with 40 points either way (normal or extended track). Just get all your papers together and make sure they go over your packet before you hand it in. You can never be too prepared. The worst part is the wait.

If no one has any questions this week, I'll give you all an update Thursday afternoon to tell you what it's like.

The limited entry office called me to verify what day I took my TEAS because there was another one of me who took it on a different day I guess.

They're going through the turned in applications already.

NOW I'm nervous lol.

Oh wow. But isn't your NSHE number on the score sheet? Thats the only concern the advisor had was that my full legal name doesn't show up that way on my score sheet but she said that shouldn't be a problem. I think I'm going to drop off my application packet today and while I'm there I'll bring up my concern to them.

Week one isn't too bad, mainly because its a lot of introduction and expectations speeches (as usual). But there is LOTS to read, assignments to do, quizzes to study for, assessments to practice, etc. Its going to either go by very quickly or very slowly. Either way, Im here and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Good luck to everyone applying.

hello, I am also getting ready to submit my app for the spring 2016 term. I have calculated my current points and i am at 26. I am thinking of applying for the extended track but not sure if these points will be enough to get me in...

hello, i am submitting my app as well for the spring 2016 term, where can you view what shots will be required for the program?

Highly unlikely. The extended track points cutoff is usually in the high 30s.

On the health sciences homepage on the left hand side there's a bunch of links.

I've had dead arm a few times...
