CSN Spring 2016
I noticed on January 7th orientation on the instructions page, it says we will be taking the Kaplan test and have to pay for it. Anyone know more about this?

So should I be worried with 40 points??? LOL (sarcasm by the way). 40 points feels like overkill. Only thing I am worried about is making sure I did everything correct on the application packet. I am going to have to schedule an appointment with -------------- to go over my application so I can put my mind at ease. I really hope everyone who is qualified get in especially because there wasn't that many applications which is kind of surprising.

Oh wow. But isn't your NSHE number on the score sheet? Thats the only concern the advisor had was that my full legal name doesn't show up that way on my score sheet but she said that shouldn't be a problem. I think I'm going to drop off my application packet today and while I'm there I'll bring up my concern to them.

CSN Spring 2016
Wellthatsodd Ill text you on monday. So I took my teas today and verdict is in......... I PASSED!!!!. Got an overal 82. That english language and grammer section didn't go so well though. Looks like I'll be applying with 40 points. Only thing left to do is meet with an advisor on monday and then turn my application in. Im so jealous of ViperJustin. I would have been halfway through nursing school had I decided to pursue this career since I took CNA course.

Yes that's the book. By the way, did you take your teas on the computer or paper and pencil?

CSN Spring 2016
OK I emailed NSC to verify what I was told and here's what they got back to me with. -PSY 201 and NUTR 223 (Biol 121) will/does substitute/satisfy the CHS 421 requirement. Only problem is that CSN doesnt offer PSY 201, but that can be taken online during the summer at NSC. -COM 101 will/does substitute/satisfy COM 412 requirement. COM 215 does NOT substitute/satisfy the COM 412 requirement, so it looks like we'll be taking another COM class, which can also be taken online by the way. -If you decide to skip PSY 201 and NUTR 223 and take CHS 421 instead, please be aware that there are prerequisites for that class: CHS 421 has NURS 319 as pre-requisite. NURS 319 has NURS 337 as pre-requisite and to my knowledge in order to take NURS 337(there is a version of this class specific to RN-BSN students) one has to be an accepted RN to BSN student so I don't see how CHS 421 can be a pre-requisite for the program. My head is spinning in circles right now. Heres my situation. I want to be proactive and take RN-BSN pre-req. courses this fall because all my requirements for ADN program are all done but at the same time I am nearing 150% attempted credits because I was going to UNLV for Engineering and all those credits transferred over to CSN. As soon as I reach 150% attempted credits they start charging an Excess Credit Fee of $44 per credit. So if I take courses for RN-BSN program this fall, that's more than likely going to put me over 150% before I finish the Nursing program at CSN and will then have to pay the Excess Credit Fee. My financial aid will be running out soon so if I don't take those classes required for RN-BSN soon, and take advantage of financial aid, I will have to pay for them in the future. Its one of those catch 22 situations for me right now. I should have just taken pre-req classes at NSC but it too late and my financial aid already disbursed yesterday. uhhh oh well. Plus I don't want to mess up my really good GPA with classes that aren't even required for the ADN program. Yes I am taking PSY at CSN. is the book Essentials of Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences?
