Hi friends,
Tonight I jsut submitted my application for the CPNE, I am so happy and nervous!!!
I submitted all the electronic documents but there was a little problem. The Criminal background file is .pdf and the EC site does not accept the .pdf file, how did you all do this??? Can EC access this report directly without me having to submit it??? Please advise,

Click on the CPNE Application Status icon on MyEC and it will allow you to upload it there. There is a glitch in the upload system when you try to upload everything when filling out the CPNE application. If that doesn't work, call EC and they will help you. Congratulations on applying to the CPNE!!! Where do you want to take it?
I actually signed up for ALL the sites at NPAC, I wonder if that this a good idea... but honestly I don't see how I could choose since I do not know the sites!

I first printed all paperwork and then scanned it to a gif file, it uploaded with no problem and it cannot be altered easily. I applied in late Sept. 08 and just got my date last week.

Once I feel like I know what I am doing regarding the CPNE I will try to do what you did and see if I can get a date to test sonner than the 6-9 months they announce! So far I said on my application that I would be ready y May, we will see...

I did the same thing, except I opted out of the Pennsy site. You'll get a date more quickly that way and will likely end up at Albany Med as they have the most testing.
HI, I as just wondering if you had a specific reason to opt out of Penny site??? Did you end up in Albany med as well?

She lives in NY, so it might be a distance issue. :) I've heard good things about Chambersburg (the PA site). A local girl I know tested there a couple of months ago and had a very positive experience.
It's what Lunah said. I'm in upstate NY, 2 hours north of Albany, 3 - 5 Utica and Syracue, something like 8 for the PA.
:)
Yes, Albany. Twice.

I signed up for my CPNE last week and requested all of the NPAC sites, and requested to be on the waiting list with only 1 weeks notice. (I am just a little eager after having been on the 16 year plan for my RN). I have been studying like a fiend and devouring any pearls of wisdom I find on the internet. My only question is this.......As an adult med/surg/tele nurse, what is the Peds eval like? That is what is really panicing me!!

Yes, I have the same fears. I've only worked with children in a clinic setting taking vitals and giving vaccines and lets just say they weren't happy campers. This is one area that will be a challenge.
