I always imagined that after receiving my acceptance letter I would run to the computer and create a post with tons of exclamation points and smilies. This wasn't the case. I got my letter and I ran to the computer and this website but I was at a lost for words. Words could not describe my feelings.:) For three very long years I waited for the day. Well it came Saturday June 23, 2007 and I had nothing to say! I cried tears of joy and called everyone that I know. Now I am running around trying to gather everything I need to take to orientation.
I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was in SCHOCK when I read the e-mail from my school that started out as "Congratulations, your composite score for the nursing program was adequate....blah blah blah!!!!" I had a Miss America moment....you know how they always start crying and quivvering etc
I am sooooo happy for you! Congratulations, it will sink in, I promise! Log on daily and review the dancing monkeys.....it's REAL, BELIEVE IT!!!!!! :balloons::biggringi:monkeydance:
Congratulations. I know how you feel as do many others on here. I have been taking pre-req's specifically for nursing for more than a few years, it is unreal when you finally reach the point to apply, and then even more so when you get excepted...imagine what that first day of class will be like, and the first clinical...and graduation..and recieving your license....crazy!!
:balloons::monkeydance::balloons: Congratulations!!!!!!!!! :balloons::monkeydance::balloons: I'm sending massive congrats your way!I agree, I think it's pretty normal to react differently than you expected. It's one thing to want something and work towards it, but when the moment actually happens, it can seem surreal. Again, congratulations on your acceptance! I can't wait until I get my letter, too.
By the way, I'm in Michigan too! Where are you going to school, if you don't mind my asking?
