This is my first post. I am considering LNC. Has anyone completed the Kaplan course? I need to make a decision today because registration closes at Kaplan today. Any advice or comments about LNC would be appreciated.

hello, dachlady2 and welcome to allnurses.com and the legal nursing forum
henayneiclnc gave you some great info to contact the vm institute for financial assistance. i basically did the same thing for about 3 years - looked and never acted. i regret now all that wasted time and lost earnings.
good luck with all your future plans.
i am registered for the executive level vmi- so no tapes for me! but i am out of work right now (because of a child's illness) so i got the best i could afford!i am going to atlanta and i just registered so i didn't get my info yet. i am really excited about it! i am planning on watching the tapes as an "overview" of legal nurse consulting- so that i maybe won't be as overwhelmed in october.
when i do recieve the materials from vmi, do i get the book before the course? that would be awesome since i read every night before bed, and i have some time before my conference!
thanks for your info!!!:balloons:

Thanks Siri. :nuke: I talked to someone via pm that may take the first module soon. I am going to begin the first module in a couple of weeks when I return from vacation. I would love to be able to communicate with anyone who is planning on taking this course.
I am looking it over. I am also looking into finding books on the topic. I would appreciate any direction on this topic of education in this field.
My hesitency is in the fact that, even with the modules, I can not get the certification for three years. So, is it possible to test out when I am done even before the certification.
I am sure the AALNC course work is most beneficial and detailed.

Do you do this kind of work already?
