This is my first post. I am considering LNC. Has anyone completed the Kaplan course? I need to make a decision today because registration closes at Kaplan today. Any advice or comments about LNC would be appreciated.

I hear ya, madwife. My aging body is so sore after pulling many of these 12's in a row.
To me, it just ads another facet to the complex and rewarding world of Nursing. I look forward to networking about this endeavor. It is so wonderful having the support that we give each other here. We are so fortunate to have siri as a resource to jump start our research.
No but I am looking at all avenues in case I dont ever nurse again

Let me know what you think about the AALNC starter pack when you get it. I am planning on ordering the same thing and will probably begin module #1 in a couple of weeks. I am going on vacation and will start when I return. You have 60 days to complete each module, so I want to wait until I have time to devote to it. I just checked the AALNC web site this morning, and it looks like there are now 3 modules completed. They are supposed to have all 8 modules completed this fall.

You bet! After reviewing this package, I bet I will be ready about the same time as you. It would be nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of.
Perhaps, someone who has done the modules or received the other resource material, will see this post and comment.

The starter pack is great. I have enjoyed the DVD. It is set up as a power point presentation; just like you were at the conference.
I am ready to order: Module 1 today.
The book, "Legal Nurse Consulting" is also available (at slight) discount rate on Amazon. Combining the beginners pack with the DVD, book, and reference material, saves some money. I can see where the investment of material will make a huge impact for available resource material (for future reference)
I am getting more and more excited about this endeavor. I believe the tools needed to get started are available for the asking. I am a, get the book and do your homework, kind of gal; so this resource (AALNC) suits me well. I may decide at a later time, to also do VMI (time and resource permitting).
As the resource material states, (and the guidance of the Mod siri) I am figuring out my business entity info etc. I am also the Moderator of Nurse Entrepreneurship here at AllNurses (see my signature line for a link) and have had some experience in this endeavor but will redo and start a new business entity. I am leaning towards LLC at this point.
tn: I hope you are enjoying your vacation. I look forward to reading about your impressions of the material you decide to order.
