So... I have been trying to get into bonsecour for a month... I have went on two interviews and shadowed twice... So... I left a comment about this a very nice lady that works with bon secour and she was nice enough to have someone call me... So... Come to find out it was stated i never showed up to my interview..Lol.. Interesting... Thats what was told to me... I clearly know i had two interviews.. Bottom line i still havent heard anything.... My time and effort went without compensation and its sad.. I really wanted to work with this company.... Anyone else experienced this?

Pretty sure that no one's time during a job hunt is compensated for...

My advice? You need to be applying elsewhere. There are many stories of people searching for jobs here about how they can't get in where they want to work. Some areas are very competitive. Some are not. Having nursing experience of any type beats not having nursing experience at all. So if you aren't getting in at one facility, move on.

Oh, and by posting the name of the facility here, you aren't doing yourself any favors. In fact, posting that you've been told you were a no show at an interview probably tells them exactly who you are. It's not just staff nurses and students who are members of and/or read AN.

If you haven't heard anything, move on and try again in a few years.

My advice, expand your search. And keep this in mind, with my last acute care job, I got my initial call and interview in early Feb. Had my second interview in march. Didn't hear a thing until late april, and that was another interview. I got my job offer in mid may. It sometimes takes a long time.

ETA While there are multiple Bon Secour facilities in the US, it's not a good idea to name the corp. They aren't that big.

My husband got frustrated over not being selected to participate in the hiring process time after time for positions he was clearly qualified for. When he heard the wrong answer one time too many about not having his paperwork, somehow he managed to find his packet buried in a pile on the desk of the person blowing him off. That told him what he needed to know. He made a formal complaint, and was hired, but paid for winning that battle by losing the war. Were you to press the issue, you might think you won a skirmish, but you will lose the war because you broadcast the name of the employer.

While i appreciate everyone's response.. My post wasnt intended for negativity.. I was done wrong.. Thats all... I was told i didnt go to a interview that i went to.. Not once but twice... And spoke with two different nurses... Its not about them hiring me at this point.. Because i have moved on... The day i was told it was said i didnt show to my interview which there was proof that i did...all I am saying that i held this company on a pedestal and the situation that played out was unfortunate... No need to be so angry.... Iam not but i will speak my truth..

People are giving you honest feedback. Just because you don't want to hear it doesn't mean anyone is angry with you.

True enough.. Thats how I took it..

You might have been able to salvage something, if only neutrality, had you allowed them to "save face" by pointing out their "oversight". For all you know it could have been an honest mistake, confusing you with applicants who did not show. What one of my previous supervisors called "playing the game".

OP - I think you've 'missed the point' re posting the hosp so specifically by name. You may well now be on their radar screen for all eternity.

In your neck of the woods, your name will prob make the 'round file' for any and all future job applications.

Nursing is a small world with a long memory (like an elephant never forgets kind).

I understanding your venting, but leaving the facility name out would have far better have served your future.

That's the point you've missed.
