Hi All,
what is the common terms or words we use as a school nurse for student 's visit to the clinic ?
example : burns , scrape , bumps, bruise , slide friction , skinned , so and so....
can name a few ?

Abrasion.
I actually quoted a kid and charted that he "bonked" his head.

headache, stomachache, fever, vomiting, nausea, injury, fall, collision, papercut, cut, laceration, deformity, swelling, rash, wound, pain, bandaid, redness, pink eye, allergies, asthma, inhaler, medication, contagious, cough, sore throat, sneezing, accident, malaise, dizziness, lightheadedness, nosebleed, bleeding, earache, itching

And I know most people hate it... But I say awesome WAY too much working with littles.

"drink some water and go back to class"
"does your teacher know you are here"?

"did you tell a parent about ________?"
"why don't you rest a few minutes and see how you feel?"
In notes I use the words headache, stomachache, deformity, bruising, swelling, ice pack, and "ambulatory without limp" quite a bit. Also "student rests, reports relief, is returned to class" gets thrown around a lot in here.
