I am a december grad!!!!!! I am nopt sure when I will be able to take the NCLEX, but I am anticipating it being febuary or march. I know there are more of us out there so I figured I would start a thread for us. i noticed the nov. dec, jan, threads seem so supporyive and helpful.
I am planning on taking a review course with the state board of nursing, kaplan, and doing questions. I havnt decided if I will work as a GN while I am studying or not. so... what is everyone else doing???
The hurst review is an NCLEX review course that is held all over the nation. They have a 99.0% pass rate and if u don't pass you get your money back. Alot of people took the hurst at my school, they make the information so simply.
wizard 100- i heard some more negative things about drexel. i will not be taking it. i hope to get my money back. i did my registration with a check. the class doesnt start until Jan7. i will be taking kaplan. even though its 3 weeks long, at least it has a great reputation. i feel so much better. thanks for all of your advice
I hope it is not Drexel Excel prep.....It is one hell of a disaster in itself. Dont spend so much money. if you need structured plan---follow suzannes plan, all you need to pass.
If you are able to, take Mark Klimek. He does not advertise, but if you do search, you will see that he has an excellent reputation as an NCLEX review instructor. He is also a nursing instructor at Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. I just took it a few weeks ago. Great review!
I was just browsing around allnurses and I happened on the speciality area, I checked out the ICU sticky's and It gives amazing and extremely interesting information on everything from labs , to treatments, I think its a must read..It has a LOT of practical info and I certainly enjoyed reading ...I know one thing I will certainly know my lab values and how to fix Na/K problems...etc.. I have just started reading and for once enjoyed "studying"....check it out..

I hope to take my boards in Feb as well and I am scared. I am studying right now with a book just like Saunders and i think it is going ok. we will see i am going to do a mock test through ATI tonight. I have already done HURST, i am doing KPLAN and my school used ATI the whole time i was in school. I am also going to another HURST review becuase it is free in Dec.

thats around the time i am hoping to test. i would have liked to taken it earlier, but my school makes us take a review before the will send off our paperwork. are you doing any kind of review? best of luck to you

great attitude! what are you doing to prepare. i am not sure of the HUrst thing... i know its a review. i think its like the ati and hesi exams
