I am a december grad!!!!!! I am nopt sure when I will be able to take the NCLEX, but I am anticipating it being febuary or march. I know there are more of us out there so I figured I would start a thread for us. i noticed the nov. dec, jan, threads seem so supporyive and helpful.
I am planning on taking a review course with the state board of nursing, kaplan, and doing questions. I havnt decided if I will work as a GN while I am studying or not. so... what is everyone else doing???
I have just finished finals this week!!! Iwill probably start studying the week of christmas. I am a little bummed becasue my school wont allow us to take boards until after we take a NCLEX review course. I have a few options to choose from but I am leaning towards a review offered by drexel university. they offer a gurantee and its only four days. i would like to do kaplan, but I dont want to be in class for three weeks. I am also thinking about doing a review with NCSBN.
I really hope to take boards in feb. but i dont know how it will go with my schools "requirements", i may be a march test taker....

hi everyone. I just graduated yesterday!! but i still havent applied for my NCLEX. I was waiting till yesterday because wanted to know that i would pass my class!! Since only 10 out of 39 students passed. anywayz I have heard alot of good stuff about "Kaplan NCLEX-RN" books!! My friends who graduated last year, highly recommend it!!

I'm now finishing the Saunders book and will be attending the EXCELL nursing review this feb. 2-11. I'm thinking of challenging LPN nclex by january.. I really don't know what to do right now i'm so pressured with their expectations on me.

dont do drexel.......it is a disaster!!! dont spend your 399 on such a course.....i took it i didnt like it, none of my classmates liked it, ........i failed and they didn't refunded they just extended for one more month and online Q&A practicing. IF you dont have time to do kaplan class review DO KAPLAN ONLINE REVIEW........heard that is much much better.

I hope it is not Drexel Excel prep.....It is one hell of a disaster in itself. Dont spend so much money. if you need structured plan---follow suzannes plan, all you need to pass.

where did you go to school? was the excel prep in class or was it online? what exactly didnt you like? sorry for all the questions, but i spoke to a few nurses i work with and they said that they liked the course and felt prepared. they all passed boards.

KAPLAN Online has much more to offer (they have video streamed lectures you can access online anytime.......not like drexel that you attend four day and at the end of the day you are overloaded and don't remember anything.
Our school made us take prep course....out of 30 students 11 did Drexel (i was one of them), 11 did Kaplan and 8 did Hurst review. It was only 11 who took Drexel complained and were not satisfied....it was a 4 day live prep that comes with 3months online Q&A. If I were you, I would definitely do Kaplan.....thats all....rest is your choice....
thanks wizaard100. i am taking drexel. i hope i dont regret my choice.i really like that it is only 3 days. i think along with doing questions i will be fine.
