Columbia ETP 2015

Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.

Anyone else?!

Thank you!! I wasn't able to attend the info session since I'm in CA. I really appreciate your help :)

I guess it depends on if I want to risk it, huh? It's been causing me anxiety all week!

Yep. The risk sucks. But if you want it, go for it! Good luck!

Ang117, I know that Case Western University doesn't require you to commit to a specialty till the master's portion but they do ask you to tell you about your interest in your specialty in the personal statement when applying. If you're interested you can check it out. They have midwifery. I'm applying there too. Here's the link where they talk about not having to commit. How funny, I just started an application for Case Western last week! Thank you so much for your advice :) I'm going to apply, I'm just worried that the rolling application (which started in September) might work against me. But I'm gonna just turn it in ASAP since I already have all the materials ready. What do we have to lose, right?

Happy deadline day, and good luck everyone!

I'm of course waiting on one last recommendation. UGH! I really hate having to rely on other people. Anyway, I hope everyone has everything together for the application...and good luck!

Literally just got the notification that she submitted the LOR. Phew! Good luck!

I thought we could submit our application before our references were completed? I have one letter still incomplete but I was under the impression it was alright, am I wrong??

I'm not sure. At the info session they gave the impression they wanted everything at the deadline. They stated to make sure to have a back up you can ask last minute in case it's the night before and you still have an incomplete LOR. I would email admissions and ask. You may be right!

From the impression I got from others here, it sounded like you could submit before your references had sent in their letters but that the deadline for that is still today. In case you wanted to submit early for some reason....

Side note: Does everyone else see this under Uploads?

We have received the following documents from you:

  • 08/28/2014 05:42 PM - Communications
  • 11/12/2014 06:38 PM - Resume
  • 11/13/2014 01:32 PM - GRE

And then a check mark below for everything else under "Application Materials?" I found this disconcerting. Maybe those are just the things you can update. Plus, I did submit my resume on the 12th originally but made a million tiny formatting changes and kept updating for the next 4 days. The one on the proof is the most recent one I submitted....

Thank you for that information, it may have saved me! I called the office and they said all reference letters should technically be in by today but as long as they are received in the next couple days it's fine, in case anyone else was curious.

I also have that, yes. Those should be the items you can update/upload. The items with check marks are what was submitted specifically with your application.

Since submitting my application approximately a month ago, I have uploaded an updated transcript and an updated resume, as well as an addendum to explain my newest uploads. These are all in the bulleted list.

Good, thank you!

Oh, see, I didn't even submit until last night. But between 11/12 and then, I updated my resume several times. I don't plan on making any changes to my submitted app. I just thought it weird they would have the original date on there. I doubt it's anything to worry about, since it's updated on the application proof.
