Has anyone started a thread yet? The application is due in 174 days and as you can see I'm already obsessing.
Anyone else?!
Nothing about submitting applications sooner, but admissions did mention if you have MOST of your prerequisites done you'll be looked upon more favorably than those who have 4 or 5 still left to do.
They reevaluate all applications throughout the process. So they look at the deadline...then look again when other pieces come in....then look again towards the end...then again to make final decisions. So they're constantly filtering through every application regardless of when it was submitted.
Thanks for the help, both of you. It's very odd... when I'm in a Word doc, I always click "don't add a space between paragraphs of the same time. Yet when I preview, for instance, my addendum, the paragraphs look messed up, like almost on top of each other, even though it's fine in the document. So weird. I might have to make everything PDF for a peace of mind.
Hi @ang117!
Graduating with honors-impressive! Looking back, I talked to some friends in the program and I believe Admissions puts more weight on the personal statement than everything else. My grades, GRE scores, and extracurriculars were above some of my classmates yet they were placed in the more competitive specialty... so I think that the fault in my application was that I didn't spend too much time perfecting my personal statement.
One last silly logistical question for everyone before I submit. Did you all answer the prompts on the PS in order or just let your essay flow naturally? Common sense would dictate that as long as you address all components, you'd be fine. However, I'm in that last-few-days doubt-everything stage and want to know how everyone else interpreted the prompt on this front :)

Thanks! One more... did they say people who submit sooner are looked upon more favorably? Just curious as I was reviewing that application info email sent about a month ago, and it says "applicants are highly encouraged to submit sooner rather than later."
