Hi,
I plan on applying for the anesthesia program at Columbia and I wanted to know how the background of those that have been accepted look like to see if I'm even competitive enough apply.
Thanks!
hi everybody,
i went to an info session at columbia on friday and they told me some things i'd been dying to hear, so i thought i'd share them here.
i was told that the average accepted applicant from last year had a 3.4 GPA and GRE scores in the 50th-60th percentiles for each section (I don't remember the exact figures for each one, but they were all around there). also, i was told that your recommendations, your essay, your GRE score, and your GPA all count for about 1/4 of the decision, and that they don't look at prior health care experience! which was a big relief for me, since i have none hahaha. i also heard that they are *trying* to get the decisions in by the first friday in february, but no one made any promises that they'd be in by then! hope this helps people :)

Hi LookingAhead,
I am also doing CNM and was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing some of your impressions from that conversation.
Thank you!
