College of the Canyons Spring 2015

Hi everyone! I am starting this thread for anyone that will be applying to the COC spring 2015 semester!

I am so nervous to start applying, and so excited at the same time!

I am curious as to what every ones GPA is that will be applying?

Hello,

I am in first semester. We had class everyday for the first 6 weeks. Depending on what section you have determines what time you are done. My schedule was Mon 1:45-3:15. Tuesday wad 8-2:10, Weds 7:45-2:50, thurs and friday 7-12:50.

Second half we are in class two days a week and then 2 days a week at clinical site.

Also, you do not get to choose your section numbers. They tell you which ones to sign up for. There is so much coordinating if our schedules that they figured its easier to assign them to us. Just go with the flow. They will give you your section numbers and times well in advance. You will have time to talk with your employers and find a different job if necessary. Im working about 20-25 hours a week and so far it had been manageable. You just have to know how to manage your time and you will be fine.

No weekend classes. Some have clinical sat/sun. But no lecture or pharm on weekends.

I am happy to announce that I was accepted at Moorpark. It was a tough decision, but I have decided to stay closer to home and decline my spot at COC. Good luck to all the alternates, I hope you get my spot!!!
