Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone! I am starting this thread for anyone that will be applying to the COC spring 2015 semester!

I am so nervous to start applying, and so excited at the same time!

I am curious as to what every ones GPA is that will be applying?

Is anyone having a hard time logging in to blackboard? It wont let me log in!

Have you used blackboard before, or will this be the first time? If this is the first time it usually won't let you unless the class is already up. I would try again at the end of the day.

username is your student ID # and the password is "student"

I got in and got everything printed. I am so excited for tomorrow. I just hope traffic isnt bad since I live in Torrance

Well I just got my denial from PCC so I guess I am sticking with COC

Hi Studleygrl99, you will NOT be disappointed with COC's program. As I mentioned earlier, they are VERY organized and straightforward. You will love it! Congrats on getting in to COC. Its highly regarded.

Hi! I've just been accepted to the program. I'm just curios about the schedule. What is your schedule like? Are you in school once a week and then clinicals twice a week? I'm asking because I'm weighing my options between COC and another school. Thanks so much!

Good luck you guys! I applied for and was accepted to COC Fall 2014. They are SUPER friendly to work with and notify us on time with everything. The application process is so hassle free, quick and easy! They are one of the first to notify and as I said, they were ON TIME with notifications. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hi! Did you get in to COC? I saw that you got in to Moorpark and I did too. Today, I got a call from COC saying that they now have a space for me (I was an alternate). I'm trying to decide between the 2 schools and it's hard! I like the MPC's schedule, I'm not sure what it's like for COC. On the other hand, I like COC's clinical sites! Help!!!

I have applied to COC, Moorpark, Pierce, Pasadena, and LA Valley College. I am really anxious to hear back from Moorpark and COC, as those are my top choices.

Hey I'm currently in my second semester and can give some insight on the first semester schedule. For the first half about 6 weeks or so you will have class everyday minus the weekends. I don't remember my exact schedule but there was only one short day that was about 2 hours or so the rest of the days are at least 6-8 hours. Then the second half of the semester you have class 2 days a week and clinicals 2 days a week. If anyone has any questions about first or second semester I will answer them to the best of my ability :)

Hi everyone!

Im in my first semester and lovvvvvve it so much! Do it! Do it! First semester for me is as follows

First 6 weeks:

Monday = Pharm 1:45-3:15

Tuesday = Theory 8:00-11:30

Weds = 7:45-2:50

Thurs and Fri = skills lab 7:00-1

Second half of semester

No class Monday

Tues = theory 8-12:20

Weds = Pharm 9:15-10:45

Thurs and Friday = hospital clinical 6:30-3:15.

Remember, depending on what section they assign you, your days and times may be slightly different. There are no classes on Sat/Sun but some have clinicals Sat and Sun.

Dont worry about the schedule. You have to take what they give you. Accept it, and enjoy it! You worked too hard to get to this point to worry about the schedule :)

Does anybody know if CSUN will accept electronic transcripts? I emailed the counselor at CSUN but no reply and I called but no answer.

Does anyone remember when we will be getting our schedule or what books we need?

They had said the second week of December, but it doesn't look that way. Where is everyone getting their uniform?
