Had a kid bring his wet, bloody tooth and plop it right on my desk.
C'mon now!
Or the kid that did running knee slide into my office.
C'mon now!
The ones old enough to cover their mouths but choose to cough right in your face instead.
All together: C'mon now!!
Some things just make me shake my head.

Uh, sometimes we're caught off guard. I thought I had one in my purse on Sunday, but ended up asking all the CNAs and nurses until I found someone who had one!
Just had a mom call and scream at me for calling Dad instead of her.
Welll.....When I call you to pick up your sick child, and your phone goes straight to voicemail, (not rings and then goes to voicemail) I then have to go to #2 on the list.
I let her know that her son was sitting right there with me as I attempted to call her, then he gave me the same number so I tried again.
If you don't want me calling dad, take him off the list.
Grrrr...

I had one of those too. Kid came in, was sick, I asked who they wanted to call and kid said "dad", so that's who we called and he came to pick her up. Turns out, parents were recently separated, and mom had restraining order against dad! Ugh. Luckily mom was nice about the whole deal, admitted she hadn't let anyone at the school know, so not really our fault. I hate issues like that!
